Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Agreed, big pockets and a good belt are key. That said, I don’t think I could ever comfortably pocket my G19. :)

Re: Why is there a PM2 and Para 3 shortage?

The pandemic has likely caused issues in production and supply chains and the Para2 and Para3 are extremely popular models. Combined that could easily cause a shortage.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

I've been looking at pocket guns but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. Stuff like the Nano, S&W Bodyguard, LCP/LC9 etc. I like pocket carry. Many guns that are called pocket guns are a little big for me. It all depends on what pants you wear and how deep the pockets are. I have a first gen LCP...

Re: Serrated Edge Retention

The reasons why a serrated edge cuts longer have been covered pretty well in this thread already. I might just add that because the teeth of a serrated edge make contact first the pressure (pounds per square inch) applied is initially focused on those points. That drastically increases the ease of i...

Re: A very sincere thank you

You deserve it. You are always on the quest to understand the edge and you share what you learn. Sharing knowledge is one of the highest forms of generosity. Your thread about optimizing the performance of spyderedges is very valuable. You are also always very honest and share your genuine opinions ...

Re: We already have the solution. Now what we need is to find the problem

I live out in the country. We don’t have any street lights around here and when the sun goes down it gets dark. I have been carrying a flashlight everyday for years now and I actually use it more than my knife. Interestingly, I don’t geek out on flashlights like I do on knives. I have been carrying ...

Re: Buying habits that harm small businesses

The issue is that there is a trend to buy multiple of a knife you want and then cherry pick the best one and return the rest. I have heard many folks admit to this online. The knife community has a higher than normal rate of OCD in my observations. I think it is selfish and wouldn’t do it. I would j...

Re: We already have the solution. Now what we need is to find the problem

To a kid with a hammer everything looks like a nail. We are Knife geeks, of course we look for uses for our knives.

Thankfully I have a bunch of hobbies that require knives which is more or less what led me into this hobby.

Re: About that food prep ...

I have nice kitchen knives as many of us do. Of course I use them when in my own kitchen. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors so I do a good bit of food prep outside. I also use it on my lunch break at work fairly often. I also have a young child who sometimes needs his food cut up when we are out...
