Re: A Wharncliffe Slip-It?

I'd really dig a k390 version of the Orange wharnie Urban! I couldn't pass that one up. Grey would be fine too. I've been wanting an orange G10 Urban to match my orange UKPK but high prices have scared me away. I'd be up for a FRN version. Oh yeah, I don't have much color preference, was just refer...

Re: Shaman problems

Mine was quite tight as new, probably tightest Compression Lock knife I've bought new. But, on purpose, I left it that way. Used it a LOT, and by now, a couple of months later it is smooth, controlled, and laterally tight and crisp. Without ever touching the pivot yet. After a week or so, I did ligh...

Wharncliffe Caly, would be my strong vote...

But as to not detract from the original request, I'd really dig a k390 version of the Orange wharnie Urban!
I have one swapped into a leaf green handle that I carry a bit. Great blade shape, and of course ergos!

Re: PPT CF Sprint - liner material?

Yeah I was hoping it would be made with titanium as well since I’ve heard that the original custom was made with titanium. The difference in weight between g10 and carbon fiber isn’t much is it? So the sprint will probably be not much lighter than the original. For the record, I’d pay extra for tit...

It doesn''t have to be a Japanese steel. It was made in Taiwan and we ship the steel.

Still would be great to have Super Blue or Hap40 as the steel, even if it's not necessary that it be a Japanese steel.

Fully support this statement. :)

PPT CF Sprint - liner material?

I am simply wondering, will the upcoming PPT CF S90V Sprint have titanium liners? Or are they the same steel liners as the other variations? Reason I ask is because I really do like this design, but the version I have is quite heavy for the size of the knife. Keeps it out of my pocket most of the ti...

The SpydieChef idea sounds primo. I'm not much of a RIL person, but I do really like that knife.

Most definitely in for this! https://i.imgur.com/BDDGiqY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/DQfYeuS.jpg Such a beauty! Thanks, I agree. Definitely one of those knives that at first look I thought it was too rudimentary to have any sort of decent ergos, and almost blew it off, but it surprised me how it feels ...

Wow, this week really got the ball rolling with some excellent eye candy! Great to see! Winner this week is Mushroom! Outline of the knife is a little hard to define at first glance, but the more I looked at the photo, the more I liked it and it's composition. https://i.imgur.com/8XmulMO.jpg Runner ...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

I got this Magnitude at the Seconds Sale, and I think it is really under appreciated here on the Forum. I rarely see it in pictures or hear about it; I don't know why, as the ergos are amazing, the action is perfect, the carbon fiber is beautiful, and the blade shape is unique and functional. It's ...

Re: Sliverax Mod-Squad: pinups & give-away

Paul, I am glad you like it! The choil gives even more variety to a knife with a lot of flexibility already. Speedholes, EDM is electrical discharge machining. Basically a wire at high voltage erodes away material by creating a spark. The material is usually submersed in a dielectric to control the...
