I just wish the Lava had a framelock handle. Just got too many lockbacks from Spyderco. I just don't like the wharny Spin blade.

Thanks for the tipd, guys! I do have the Paul Chen version and the one sold by Cas Iberia. Both are really nice but I want something smaller with a 2 1/2 inch blade and a framelock.

I see what you mean, but no. The blade tip itself is more on the left side . It is not really much. I may just be nitpicking. If we're saying 50/50 , mine is 65/45.Does not really bother me.

Would you believe? I went out at 4:00 pm to get a bite to eat and ups came? Waited all day. Anyway, they left it next door and I have it. it is a beauty, Blade is not too centered but closes and opens smoooth! Locks tight and no play opened in either position. Also got a catalogue. I was sent my ups tracking no. by spyderco and supposed to arrive today. I have been waiting and checked ups tracking and now it says they can not find it on their system.A few days ago they had it to be delivered today. ???What happened??

I have to say that lockbacks(if designed properly)should not have any play at all most specially vertically as the lockbar pushes the blade down. I think spring tension comes to play in this area.
