I can’t hate on the USPS today. Here two days early… My first Sage and I like it! I think I like it more than I do FRN so it could be a candidate for some micarta scales (if someone makes them?) or a swap into the factory CF scales.

I think somebody posted a pic of the write-up that comes in the box from Spyderco and it mentions a TiCn version too!

I didn’t connect the dots until I saw the teaser posted in this thread, but the images he showed me were all Para2s and the only variation was color. He was so excited because if I recall it was going to be their first Spyderco exclusive.

I was in the SMKW store almost two years ago and the guy working the Spyderco counter was showing me images of Para2s with colorful scales but I thought he said they would be S30V so I wrote them off. Now looking back I think they were these and I believe it was 3 models in blue, green and red. I ho...

Got two! If they announce DLC I’ll probably pass one of these along, but for now I’ve got a backup.

I’m in for one of these as a first Sage. If I keep it then you can go ahead and put me down for two in DLC. Love M4 and the comp lock just need to get one in hand to use it. Do we have a release date yet?!

I think “3rd gen” is a reference to the family operating the factory these are coming from and not the knife itself, but I reserve the right to be completely wrong. :)

I asked all the major scale vendors about Micarta the other day, the only response I got was that Karbadize was "planning on doing the Chief."

We'll see!

Never heard of this maker, but please let us know what comes of this lead.

Got one to go with my DLC. The Chief is becoming my favorite GP blade for EDC and with Larrin’s testing results it’s hard to resist more M4.

I’d get one for closer to $100, maybe $110, but I’ve got great Delicas and cant justify another for $130.

Anybody know what happened to the rumored St Nick’s 4V Chief?

I got mine today! It’s wow sharp! Now I will use it! Thank you Sal and Co for getting the P4 K390 G10 to the P4 K390 LW to this, this glorious wedge of steel with these “smooth” teeth.

Autonomy 2 (any would do, but I’m partial to the blacked out SE model)
