Re: Lil Native and Cat
I love my Cat and would like to see some more options, like colors of G10. The Lil Native Backlock really needs some upgrades in steel and color choices as the inferior ( ;) ) comp lock version gets. K390 with dark grey G10 would be a good start. I have both of the Lil’ Native and I agree about the...

Re: Discontinued List 2021 Speculation Thread
I suspect that the backlock version of the Lil' Native will be discontinued. Why you ask? Because I REALLY like this knife so it stands to reason that it will be discontinued.

I LOVE that color of G10! I wish I could get a backlock Lil’ Native in that color of G10! So very cool.

Re: Unpopular opinions
The midlock Lil’ Native is a masterpiece of littlization; the slipjoint Lil’ Native’s appearance will undermine the justly-popular Urban, hence its delay. That is absolutely true! I have both the compression lock version and the backlock version of the Lil’ Native and when used back to back the bac...

Re: Unpopular opinions
I have a Sharpmaker but I almost never use it, not overly fond of it. I also agree with this. I never use my Sharpmaker base...but I use the rods and free hand with them. I get much better results this way for some reason. I only used the based when reprofiling with the CBN rods, until I got a DMT ...

Re: Unpopular opinions
I know that I do not share some of the same opinion as others here. I don’t like the compression lock, I have 2 Spydercos with one. A Lil’s Native and a Salsa. I like the knife designs, just not the Compression Lock. I do not like pocket clips....period! There, I said it! I do not like pocket clips!...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I have been EDCing my Lil' Native with the backlock now for several weeks. I am really enjoying this knife. I also have the compression lock version and a Dragonfly with the G10 scales and I enjoy this knife the most, by far!

Re: S30V Support Club
Ease of sharpening? Are you guys using the same S30V as I am? S30V is a great steel but it is noticeably harder to sharpen than other midrange steels like VG-10. I do not know how or what sharpening system you are using but I use a Worksharp sharpener myself. I find it is very easy to sharpen S30v ...

I love the backlock Lil Native! I have both the backlock and the compression lock Lil Natives so I was able to try both of them out to see which I preferred. The backlock won!

Re: S30V Support Club
A lot of knife enthusiasts love traditional slip joint knives and many of them use a simple carbon 1095 steel for their blade. They sharpen up nicely and cut rather well. Sure you need to sharpen them more often but is that so bad? S30V steel is fine all around blade steel. It is easy to get caught ...

Re: Got first Spyderco, somewhat disappointed...
I hope the OP hasn’t open and closed it so quickly and often enough to cause some galling between the lock bar and the blade tang.
I agree with everyone who recommends a good flush and lube.

Re: I'm falling out of love with the Compression Lock
Wow, I never had the same issues as some of the members here. I own 2 compression lock knives, a Salsa and a Lil' Native. I like the knives but I am not crazy about the compression lock itself. I find it awkward to manipulate, fortunately the Lil' Native comes with a back lock and that is what is in...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
My favorite EDC so far is the Lil' Native Backlock. I have both the Compression Lock and Backlock Lil' Native and by far I prefer the Backlock. Much easier for me to operate the lock.
It is a great little knife.

Re: Ever Take Your Spydercos Apart ?
Have I ever taken my Spyderco’s apart? Not normally but recently I tool my Salsa apart to measure the pivot washers for another member. It was pretty easy and straight forward to disassemble and reassemble that particular knife model.
