Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!!
Black peel-ply CF, like the Manix 2 XL and Yojimbo S90V Knifeworks exclusives. I don't know if I would ever describe Peel Ply Cf as black......it's more of a dark grey to me... Hey leave the hair-splitting for the new sharpening forum... :p I think you mean "hair whittling".........D'Oh! ...

Black peel-ply CF, like the Manix 2 XL and Yojimbo S90V Knifeworks exclusives. I don't know if I would ever describe Peel Ply Cf as black......it's more of a dark grey to me. I believe that if you sand it down and buff it up you would get something exactly like the CF Caly scales. I think that more...

Nope......the Mule Team's IMO look very close to a Stretch handle combined with a Tenacious blade.Bill1170 wrote:Nate,

Re: Spyderco kitchen knife set
I also have one of the 6.5 inch SE kitchen knives and I have just one issue with it. I am not sure if it is common to most kitchen knives since I haven't yet went shopping for some nice higher end kitchen knives but the old Farberware set that I have doesn't have this problem. That is the length of ...

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!!
I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass on this one. One thing I try to do is get a representative of each steel, scale material, and model of knife I'm interested in at the time. I already have some M4, some Golden made peelply CF scales, and a PM2, sadly just not all in the same knife :( No PM2 yet ...

Re: CQI Caly 3.5 ZDP-189
Spyderco is all about CQI. We see it in so many models, constantly changing, constantly getting better. It is one of their better business practices that really makes me attracted to them as a brand. With that said, I've never heard anyone say anything good about the use of 420J2 steel used to prot...

Re: Sharpening forum
Amazing how even a simple question thread can be poisoned. :o sal Wow, even after a not so subtle hint - the thread regarding a potential sharpening sub-forum continues to be hijacked by a VERY small and tiny fraction of forum membership who just happen to be very vocal and are looking for others t...

Re: Sharpening forum
We can all use a time out corner to put ourselves in at times. :o I was actually impressed a little while back when FCM voluntarily timed himself out after the BBS threads that got a little volatile. I also am not a fan of BBS pricing and could easily understand another's frustration with it as well...

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!!
Without looking to go into a long exchange and potentially derailing this post......how do you find it for EDC.....where does it excel and what are some of its limitations? I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous using it for EDC because of the fineness of the tip. What can it hold up to in general ...

Re: Sharpening forum
Or maybe there could be a time out corner for FCM415 to go sit in while he cools off so that he doesn't insult other members anymore. That'd be pretty nice. I am calm and please dont PM me. Single me out all you want out of the entire forum that is singling someone else out. That is nice, not gonna...

Re: Sharpening forum
I'm guessing from previous posts that since it has been suggested, it means that someone wants his/her own space. Would this forum be invite only perhaps? LOL I don't care if sharpening is separate, but it seems silly that it might be. There are so many ways I could make fun of this idea, but I'll ...

Re: Sharpening forum
I don't think a whole new forum is needed at all. A subforum would be alright but I have no real strong opinion on the issue. The only thing that would make a subforum nice is that all things relating to sharpening can easily be located in one place. But that would only work if you could retroactive...

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!!
I think the 1200 released will temper it (the future value) somewhat. It's only slightly more expensive than the Yo2 exclusive and I thought that one was well worth it. I also have the Yo2 exclusive and think it really a beautiful knife but with all the selection and the Caly 3.5 that's been hoggin...

Re: A change in tone
Let me know when the public lynching is over. I've seen a great many of the people who are complaining who are also guilty of some less than proud moments themselves too at times..........so let's dial down the sanctimonious tone everyone......glass houses & stones and all that. I was...

Re: A change in tone
Cliff, no need to respond. I think that Darby is talking about me. Dude, I am way more intelligent than you, it says on my T-shirt, #1 Newf - you can't really match that. 80% of Newfoundlanders have above average intelligence, the other half didn't even take the test. My brother-in-law is from the ...

However, characterizing my post ... Not intended, I was referring to what you were referring to. I thought I made that clear with the part "Not speaking of your post" part. One of the unfortunate things about the way people talk here is that we use you as interpersonal even in direct conv...
