Re: Does anyone use a S90V blade?
I'd love to get my hands on an s90v shaman, but I doubt I ever will. Secondary prices are insane! I feel you there brother! Missed opportunity that sat around for a while a few years back...back when I couldn't fathom spending over $200 on a knife, and also thought the Shaman was too big. :disappoi...

Re: Does anyone use a S90V blade?
I have a few... Chief of course. Have hardly had to touch it but I only carry it occasionally. Most of my experience has been with Benchmades. I have a custom s90v/cf griptilian that I use a lot. I reprofiled the edge and let me tell you it took some effort! As did my 940-1! But they stay sharp fore...

Re: A dumb question about assembly/disassembly.
I only ever loctite the pivot. Everything else is clean. Only ever had the pivot work loose on me, a clip once, but I think I didn't tighten it down enough in the first place.

Re: Why carry a knife?
Because I have reasons, like opening mail, boxes, breaking down boxes, stripping cable, trimming labels, and other work related tasks. I have so many because I like variety. I carry a firearm for defense. I respect anyone who carries an edged weapon for defense, but I'll keep my distance if I can! Lol

Re: Endela or Straight Spine Stretch?
I voted endela because... I love it. Lol I agree, and agree with Warstein's comments. But, I think if one is contemplating one or the other, they owe it to themselves to try each in hand if possible. I prefer the Endela because it is more pocket friendly, fits my hand better, and is lighter. If the...

Re: PC Racing Sims?
The g29 is the next version, like the g25 was the previous. Very good budget wheels, although I think there are ones like the fanatecs that have better force feedback systems (belt driven), or you can go really high end with direct drive! I'm happy with logitech though. Reliable, affordable, and th...

Re: PC Racing Sims?
...I have a logitech g27... I broke down and got another wheel from Amazon last night. You mentioned you had a G27. I looked it up and I'm pretty sure that's the one I had previously. They had the G29 for a pretty good price. So I ordered that. It was delivered to my house a little over 3 hours lat...

Re: And sometimes they're perfect.
For me spyderco has consistently had the best edges out of the box. The majority of the time centering and action are perfect, and no blade play. Sometimes a turn of the screw sorts everything out. Never had one that a little tinkering didn't make perfect. Out of all my Spydies I've only every had o...

Re: Consensus:Diamond or CBN sharpmaker rods
I've had my diamond rods for a few years, and lots of reprofiles. They are still good and work quickly. No need to get CBN if your diamonds are fine IMO, unless you just want to experiment, and there is nothing wrong with that. I would wait until they are worn out then replace.

Re: One for trouble and one for fun?
No dedicated SD knife... I usually carry one or two knives, usually a spyderco and another brand (benchmade, hinderer, cold steel, zt...). 9mm for SD.

Re: A perspective on a fad in the knife world.
The Shaman imo is peak performance. It's rugged, but it's tall blade allows thinner geometry, so it can handle rougher tasks while still slicing well. As well as my endura? I don't think so. But very close. And it's comfortable to use for a long time. I love the Shaman, and have 4 of them, and will...

Re: Broken Blade
Looks like someone thought they had a folding prybar. I couldn't agree more. An old machinist I used to work with who also liked and collected knives>> he said on a few occasions that a knife is supposed to be use for it's intended purpose and not as a screwdriver, prybar, wood chisel or some type ...
