Congrats Rex on the trip to Spain and the Gunting. You will never regret your Gunting purchase. Suggest a Mike Sastre "inside the pocket" sheath. Check his River City Sheath website but call don't email. IMO, the pocket sheath is better than a belt sheath for the Gunting because it doesn't...

Hello, Strongly recommend the Gunting as an all purpose knife. It will do anything you ask it to do. I regret to see the Gunting placed exclusively in the martial arts category as occurs occasionally because it has so many other uses outside the martial arts arena. I have had mine for more than a ye...

Spyderco Factory Store

I am a loyal and avid Spyderco user and collector. I have purchased from Spyderco in the past via its internet service and have been very satisfied with its service. Recently, I have been very disappointed. In place of the 16 knife carrier I ordered, I was sent a butcher knife carrier. I called and ...

Jeff/1911, Thanks for starting this post. I have been looking for over a year for the "old" Catcherman and in reading the post find that John Jensen has the old ones w/ plain blade(little serrations at handle end part of blade). I just ordered 2 -1 for me and 1 for my wife from John. I agr...

difcat, I've got both. If I had to choose one, it would be the Caalypso Jr. without a doubt. The gold <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> emblem on the the clip is sheer elegance. My Delica, as some one else said, is my beater knife. (Used to use a Buck for that...

Have you called Mike Sastre at River City Sheaths for his innovative inside the pocket sheath invented just for the Gunting, made of Concealex. Yog, Try tightening the allen (wrench) screw a little. The increased tension will prevent what you are experiencing. Didn't particularly like the looks of the Chinese folder but finally bought one because of the comments on the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0...

This may appear too basic in light of the previous replies, but I never let the tip slide across the stone. If I am using a stone at an angle, I may not quite get to the tip but when you are using the flat side it is very easy to stop the stroke with the tip still on the stone. Hope this helps. Good...
