Re: Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

Steelcity16 - I know you feel very strongly about micarta and tougher steel combos (we should call you 3vsteelcity16 at this point :D ) - but I'm really not sure in the grand scheme of things how popular they really are - especially outside of forums like this on I also noticed how collectors are al...

Re: Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

In summary people don't want what they need, they want the object that reflects their perceived needs. People thought the base shaman was average (s30v is probably fine in most applications) - but the cru-carta is basically the Wrangler unlimited - people like the idea that their jeep has locking di...

How would the naming work? Mini para 3 or mini PM2?

Besides, how will Spyderco solve the lanyard/clip situation?

Re: Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

Come on guys, Spyderco is potentially remaking the same knife with a steel that's 99.9% the same, and you guys are complaining it doesn't say Cru wear on the side?

Now I know why the 10v mule sold quickly, but the pma11 one hung around for a long time

What advantages does a Congress moldmaster have over a Norton Crystolon?

What steels are Aluminum Oxide stones (i.e. Norton India) good up til? S30V?

Bottom of pocket/clipless carry ?

What are you favorite Spydercos for bottom of pocket carry without a clip (maybe a pouch?)

I feel like even a delica is too big for this duty - maybe a chaparral/dragonfly/lil native? (lil native compression lock looks fun, but I worry about the edge near the lockbar cut out)

Re: What models would you like to see with the side button compression lock like the Smock

This would be a good solution for compression lock knives where the edge enters the cut out (but then the bar would be in the way, right?)

If I recall correctly, Spyderco has mentioned this is in the past and they ship the PM2 with the clip tip down because they've noticed a majority of the PM2's they get back for warranty work have the clip positioned for tip down carry.
:spyder:
Or... Tip down causes warranty repairs :p

Re: EDC prybar

I keep a widgy bar in my tool pouch in my bag and have used it 3x on 10 years (bent it once removing moldings) - the short ones have no leverage (****, the 4" widgy barely has enough leverage) - would like to swap with a 6" Vaughn or something, but that's bulky, though more useful Can't im...
