Re: Anyone pick up a Bradley Bowie yet?
Dan I carry fixed blades all the time. I just carry them on my belt. Pretty much all of them has been easily concealed by a untucked shirt. I prefer that the sheath have a rather low belt attachment, so that the whole knife sits higher up for the same reason Reject stated. If I do get a Bradley Bowi...

Re: Anyone pick up a Bradley Bowie yet?
The way I interpret the law ( right or wrong of course) is a Bowie knife having a sharpened top edge. This may be incorrect, but the Bradley Bowie is below the maximum blade length restriction as well as does not have a sharpened top edge. I carry my Serrata all the time, and from the pictures that ...

Re: Ronin 2?
i don't have any knives with BD1, so can't really comment on its "usefulness" as a blade steel. I'm sure Spyderco wouldn't use a steel that is sub par on any of their knives. I hope it is a steel that is easily sharpened in the field without massive amounts of work to get a useable edge on...

Re: Ronin 2?
I will probably buy two. I like anything Mr. Janich designs, not to mention a fix blade Wharnecliff in the Spyderco lineup will be a huge plus.

Re: Anyone pick up a Bradley Bowie yet?
Rodloos good to see someone else around here that is from the DFW area. The nice thing is that we can legally carry the Bradley Bowie. It's on my list as well!

Re: Stretch 2, Poor Craftsmanship
Me personally I would have given Spyderco a chance to fix it before posting. Not saying anything is wrong with posting it on here, just I would have gone about it differently. Spyderco has a well deserved reputation for taking care of their customers as well as going "above and beyond" wha...

Re: Is a Spyderco Worth it's weight in Gold?
Doc I am glad you are back, and hope things are on the upturn for you. You have been missed around here. I take it you have the new Reverse? Do you think we could get a meat test?;) I had to sell a lot of my Spydies a few years back as well. Honestly I had a lot of knives that I didn't use, and need...

Re: Native for a Yojimbo 2?
I would do it. Then again I'm a huge wharnie fan. The Native is a great knife, but it seems the blade gets shorter with every new generation, as well as the swedge seems to have all but disappeared with the current generation.

Re: Am I the only one who likes strong clips?
Mostly I find Spyderco clips to be fine. I have had to tweak a few due to not being bent correctly at the tip. When you would go to clip it to your pocket the tip of the clip would dig in to the edge the material rather than sliding over it ( if this makes sense). The tension was fine once it was sl...

I love mine. Sharpening is not a problem with a Sharpmaker or some Lansky Crocsticks. It's truly a unique knife that your buddies probably want have in their arsenal.

Re: most mean and frightening spyderco?
I would think the Civilian would be the scariest looking.
My Szabo folder is fine. It certainly isn't a flickable knife, but I have no trouble opening it one handed. I don't really thumb flick anymore because I feel it causes undue stress on the locking mechanism of a knife.
