Re: Paramilitary XL (Para 4) vs Military 2

As it stands the military is perfect for my uses.
Yes I'd go for compression lock version ONLY if could it be easily used with rigging gloves on. At the moment I only use my para's when I'm not wearing gloves.

P.s When the heck are we going to see an SE millie again !?!?

Not for me but I’ve always wished the lum Chinese was given the frame lock treatment..

Re: Dyad II or New Concept Double Blade Folder?

Double compression lock?? ... that makes this something I'll take to work!. As much as I adore good lock backs, dealing with mud, sand and dirt is a lot easier with open frame designs.

Re: The Gauntlet Stands Revealed

Sal would you recommend these shaped stones as an alternative to the 701 profile ? My primary concern is sharpening and keeping my 440V SE Millies alive.
FWIW the brown stone in my 701 Set sports a few micro chips on the edges these days..

Re: So someone saw my pocket clip and -- "You carry a knife!"...

In the last ten years I've had one person point out a knife in my pocket.
I don't conceal my carry but at the same time I don't advertise it either. Hence my preference for black pocket clips.

Re: Knives you didn't expect to like so much, or vice versa

The SE matriarch 2 really took me by surprise this year. Pull cut heaven! My se Millie’s finally have some pocket competition.
I’m not the greatest fan of the ergo’s on endura style handle but hey.. it works.

Re: Dyad II or New Concept Double Blade Folder?

That’s great news that there is a another dyad in the pipeline. I enjoy using my c44 sprint a lot. My only criticisms of the c44 sprint would be that I find the clip sets up a sometimes awkward high carry. (I am used to high carry clips and generally prefer them, but this is next level... ). I can’t...

Re: Compression Lock Millie?

Definitely, liner lock is not user friendly for lefties that has been what stops me from buying a military. I'll never understand this. I can close any of my liner/frame locks with my left hand as easy as I can my right. Even my Gayle Bradley is fairly easy to close left-handed. I dont understand t...

Re: Compression Lock Millie?

I wouldn’t change a thing with the Millie.
I love the compression locks, BUT they are nowhere near as glove friendly.
It can become a chore accessing the compression lock real quick when wearing rigging gloves,
The Millie shines outdoors as it is.
