Re: Prediction for the Efficient
I have one and I'm very happy with the fit, finish and blade steel. For the price it's a great knife. I'm just waiting for the Polestar now.

Absolutely, better yet lets do an Escape From New York number on it. :pEvil D wrote:I'm so over NYC. They can chisel it off the rest of the continent and float it off into the Atlantic for all I care.

In other words, once again, "How about a Spyderco Custom Shop?" Has it been six months already? The answer was "No" the last fifty times this was asked. I don't expect it to change this time.[/quote]

Re: Is it possible to commission a one off?
How about a semi custom knife? Could say the PM2 be offered from the factory with existing blade stock and offered with a handful of different G10 scale colors?

I also like the Delica wharncliffe for its ability to cut precisely. I recently bought the Native 5 light weight fully serrated and it has served me well and the S35VN blade is awesome.

Re: Good Universally Legal Self Defense Items? Do they exist?
As for home defense or other wise , I'd rather be alive in court than dead. Go for whatever you are comfortable with. For me it's a short barrel 20 gage pump at home and a pocket 380 and Spyderco Civilian when I'm in some questionable parts of my city. Oh, I forgot get a impact weapon like a Scott F...

Absolutely! Stopped buying knives from Amazon last year when I got a fake Hungarian Folder. It was a good fake too :mad:Evil D wrote:Looks legit to me, but fakes are getting better and better. An easy way to avoid all this is to stop buying from Amazon and buy from a reputable dealer.

Mine came today and I like it a lot. Really love the blade shape. This is my first Delica but I see a fully serrated one in my future. Thanks Jazz for your persistence :)Jazz wrote:But, how do you like it?

Re: CA Legal versions of Restricted Models
Considering that I already have a ProTech Runt, a Colonial 102, and a CA legal Microtech UTX-70, I'd probably go for one if Spyderco made it. The problem I see is that Spyderco is under more Federal scrutiny than any other US knife manufacturer. They can only sell to dealers who agree to only sell ...

I agree, I gave my son a Protech Half breed for Xams and it's a great knife. It has the longer handle with short blade. Eventually I'll get one for myself.Larry_Mott wrote:Spontaneously i think small auto. Like the Cali legal ProTech

Well, since I've gotten good at sharpening my Pacific Salt with full serrations I'm going with the fully serrated Native. Love the blade steel on it.
