Re: Next Project To Revive Another GOLDEN ERA Model
Well, for me it would have to be the C90 stainless steel craton Stretch (the first "real" Stretch that was actually called so??) Just a bit smaller than the Stretch 1, is from the time you call the "Golden era" and one of the coolest looking Spydies ever imo. See here https://ww...

Re: Bolstered and pinned construction
Might as well go all in on this. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2017/07/spyderco_anniversarydelicanative_delica_1.jpg https://spydercollector.wordpress.com/tag/delica/ Thats some world class Ed Schempp right there. We could just turn this into an Ed Schempp thread? :thinking :cheap-sun...

Bolstered and pinned construction
It seems wise to preface this post by saying that i do not think this is the direction we are heading and i am more inclined to think that we are seeing some traditional craft and skill disappearing as manufacturing mostly 'improves.' I have had a weak spot for bolsters on knives since i was a kid. ...

Re: Endura Stainless - Screwed or pinned?
The brushed finish hides the pins, after some wear it may becomes visible.
My traditionals and Swiss Army knives are pinned, and the Kris.
It is not recommended to try to disassemble.

Cruwear, full liner backlock, and gray G10, three favorites.

Re: Next Project To Revive Another GOLDEN ERA Model
Every time this thread gets remade, my answer is always the Rookie. So, I’d like to see a revival of the Rookie. I love the Rookie model. I gifted one to an older friend of mine and he said it was the best pocket knife he ever owned. That was about 1 year ago now. A Rookie with a supersteel blade i...

Re: Next Project To Revive Another GOLDEN ERA Model
I’ve asked several times for a full size Jess Horn sprint. I’d be happy to see it made in the same configuration as the recent Baby Horn sprint (in dark gray G10). That would be cool. Would buy. Cruwear goes with gray G10. :thinking The Rookie would be an excellent choice. I'll also add my vote for...

Re: Z Wear, What’s the Deal With It?
I can get my zwear shaman to “freckle” if I do the lawn with it in my pocket. I’m in Florida… but a qtip and flitz takes care of it. I’ve been EDCing this knife since it dropped. I feel like my cruwear Millie keeps an edge longer than this shaman but 🤷♂️ Who can be sure of these things. This would...

Re: subway bowie!
thanks. the baby bowie is about a 3.25 finger handle for me, so the subway bowie handle definitely wouldn't have anything for my pinky to hold on to. Pretty cool! This thing is very compact. As with the Jester and Ladybug 2-- I like it best with 2 beads on the fob-- makes for a solid grip even with...

this is the perrin baby bowie by max knives. https://i.postimg.cc/0QL5Rq6J/IMG-20220816-221145-HDR.jpg how does the subway bowie compare in terms of handle length? this one is a touch under 3.5" About 2 3/8 for a comparable measurement on the Subway. No pic right now. :sleeping ETA (See my pic...
