If your not going to use it then I would either display it so you can enjoy looking at it or sell it and get a knife you will use. You can always find the older, rare, collectible spyderco's because most people won't use them and some day the money looks better then the knife in the safe. Just my 2 ...

I agree with most, I use whatever I have on me and I always have atleast one that is razor sharp in one of my pockets. But why wouldn't you use a lil temp with it's FFG blade?

I'm having trouble finding accurate info on this new knife, Is the only difference from the current blue sprint the foliage green color instead? Pictures I am finding show the option of tip up or tip down and was curious if anyone had the low down. thx

I just found out that the new-to-me (and highly recommended) dealer with whom I'd placed my Smurf order won't be sending me my baby blue  According to him, Spyderco changed something in the way it ships to dealers. I also placed order with him for the green goblin manix--now it appears too lat...

Anyone know if this new green manix is different then the blue manix in that it will now have the option for tip up or tip down? From a preorder site's picture I looked at it shows that option but wasn't sure how accurate the pictures are when the knife isn't even out. thx If someone wouldn't mind s...

Welcome to the addiction! Sounds like you do have a pretty good collection going there. I just got a blue manix in the mail today, thank goodness the big brown truck didn't deliver it. It's a dead giveaway when he backs in and honks his horn. I used to hide some of my empty beer cans so I didn't loo...

Same here, however I do have a full roll of duct tape. Man what a shame, what are the chances that more cracks will appear after filling any current ones.

Ok you guys. I just couldn't stand it any longer. The photos are killing me and I just had to take my fairly new Para-Military Digicam black blade out and admire it. I'm in a hotel for a month while in training and couldn't stand it any longer. All I have is my iPhone so please don't compare these ...

I carried a fixed blade in my boot before, and chose the ss police for the boot rig based on the width when closed. With a fixed blade you just have to be concerned with the sheath being loose and the knife making noise, as well as how far you have to move your pant leg to clear it. With the folder...

I have been giving it a lot of serious consideration lately. I'm thinking about offing my whole collection except for my Caly 3's. Just not sure which is the better route - put the entire collection up in a single auction or one-by-one. l would think you would make quite a bit more money selling th...

I had vadim (vess leather works) do up a leather sheath for the ss police without a clip. Just 2 eyelets to thread my bootlace through. Works great with combat boots. It's survived just about 5 years so far with no visible wear. But I'd rather have it comfortable and secure, than having it easy to ...

Thanks Chapman! I guess carrying the Street Beat as a boot knife isn't very common. Maybe I will need to look at a different model, I would imagine finding a good sheath to attach to a boot with a decent, quiet removal option will be my biggest issue. thx

I thinned my herd out a while back, I felt like I had found everything I had been searching for so I sold a bunch so I could start the hunt over again. Street Beat (boot knife?)

Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone carry's the Street Beat as a boot knife? If so, are you using the Spyderco sheath or something else? Not sure how it would attach to a military type boot or work boot without seeing one in person so thought I would check with you guys. THX!
