Re: Just a pocket knife
The amount of times an old Delica gets picked over so many better flashy spyderco knives. It’s like a don’t want to think knife as I’m heading out the door. (Usually keep 5-6 knives in a bowl near the door) I have had all of the popular models and I carry a Delica or Endela daily. They are perfecti...

Re: BYRD as transition towards Spydie knives (or NOT)
I carry two knives at the job where I drive a forklift. One, a SE Byrd, these days a SE Wharnie Harrier II. Great for cutting open shrink wrapped pallets, etc. Lasts a couple of weeks before needing to be resharpened. The other is usually my eating knife. Usually either an S110V PM 2 or Crucarta PM2...

Re: The Goddard is such a great knife and unexpectantly excels at food prep
I am wondering if you have possibly compared it to an Endura 4 or Stretch 2 XL in these roles? Me, I prefer the Goddard. The feel in hand is just better for me, than the Endura. I can't actually pick a favorite between the Goddard and the S2XL. They are similar but different and I can't really give...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
As a system administrator for a number of years and prior web hosting business owner, it pains me to see so many negative comments. I do not really want to get involved but as a guy on a REALLY strict budget I avoid 99% of the sprint runs and special offers...it's all about the benjamins and the ma...

Re: It's wild how many different versions of the compression lock exist
Hey Vivi, Talking' Story: FYI, Spyderco was scheduled to make a knife for Bob Taylor's REKAT company designed by Bram Frank, called the "Escalator". We were going to use Bob's "Rolling Lock' which he invented, A very nice lock invention. After we began engineering the model, Bob Tayl...

Re: It's wild how many different versions of the compression lock exist
Actually I personally only read about comp.locks coming open in the pocket, never had that happen to myself - granted, I did / do not carry comp.locks much compared to especially backlocks, but so far my experience with the self close of comp.locks is fine. I bought a SPY27 PM2 last year at the sec...
