Thanks Murdoc, that was my second option, and just buy some skateboard grip tape for the handles.

I figured it was worth a shot though.

Endura parts kit?

I have an Endura 4 SS handle. I have had it for about 4 years and it has gotten very lose at the blade. To the point that if I put a little force on the blade when closing it the blade rubs against the handle and scratches it. I want to have the handle replaced with the light weight parts kit. That ...

See JD, this is were I have to admit that I am a bit of a nerd (well actually a big one). I have to find out everything I can about anything I am interested in. I needed a good knife for cutting rope and all my research said Spyderco has the best serrated blades. Although in retrospect I should have...

Im with you JD. I have had many conversations with people that don't like a serrrated edge. I had one coworker even state that SE were only good for cutting bread. Many people argue that a PE can cut just as good as a SE for most things. Yes it can cut just as good but why not have the best tool for...

I like them to be sharp and have a good point. I want it to bite into what ever I'm cutting. I have a Kabar with a comboedge. I bought it a log time ago when I was first getting into knives. The serrations are very wavy with no points at all. IMO smooth serrations are useless.

I'll go ahead and ad to the list of Oh yea I want this knife. To be honest I seem to have a theme of only liking the really long or really small knives. I either prefer something big to get through a tough job, or something small I can toss in my pocket and forget about. I liked the native but the l...

Great little back up knife

I carry a Byrd Finch to back up my main EDC hawkbill. I just bought a Ladybug also and used to have a few Jesters. I learned the great performance of the small spydercos when I worked at a mil-surplus store. I bought a SE Jester and SE ladybug to play around with at work. We sold rope by the foot an...

But before I close this post DMgang I would like to ask you if you had the wherewithal to purchase any new Spyderco blade at this time which one would you get today, at this time? Also how much would you say that you use a Hawkbill blade compared to a standard blade design folder percentage wise. F...

I joined this forum just to say how awesome this idea is. I have been a strong advocate for the hawkbill design ever since I got a CRKT bear claw about 8 years ago. Since then I've discovered spyderco and bought as many as I can afford. I never got a chance at the Spyderhawk, but carry a crossbill S...
