Anyone know the specs of the pocket clip screws for the Smock? Do you think Spyderco would provide the specs, or do they guard that information?

I got new scales and pocket clip, but the stock screws are a little short. The screws that came with the clip are proper length, but a little wide.

Just use the heck out of it. If the washers somehow fail send it back and have them replaced.

From the responses so far, wear seems to be the only concern. I have 98 more teflon washers so I think I am set for a while.

I installed a new scale on the SpydieChef, so while I had it apart I installed some teflon washers. All seems well, the action is smooth even with the pivot tighter than usual. Still flicks open with no blade play.

Any reason this is a bad idea?

It has been almost 3 months since we were promised an answer. I look forward to the next excuse.

Mine still has the same stick when it was new. Does not seem to be getting better after many weeks.

We are still waiting on the lockbar treatment question to be answered by Spyderco.

edit: I have a second one NIB that has lock stick as well, but I haven't tried to work it out yet.

woops, wrong thread.

I got mine from DLT a few days ago but hadn't taken it out of the box yet. I checked mine and it does not seem to have this issue. It fully engages and sits flush.

Can you force it down flush with some pressure? If so, maybe it just needs some break-in.

I guess we will have to disagree. To me it seems like BHQ and these "grubby little parasites" have the exact same business model, only BHQ can do it on a larger scale.
