Re: MT39P – CPM 15V Mule Team Dropping Soon!
Is anyone else frantically trying to translate 9am MDT into their local time outside the USA?! 😂 Thank you Spyderco for not doing it at noon your time - catching drops from other brands or distributors always seems to mean staying up until 2am in Singapore. FYI, 9 am MDT is 15 UTC. And if that’s st...

Lighten up, Francis. The topic will inevitably be moved...
The knife was a magnacut and carbon fiber Doug Ritter mini RSK. Cool little knife. I bought one.

Re: New Spyderco Paysan CQI: defective & disappointing
Horrendous lock stick doesn’t change the fact that he threw a tantrum like an entitled child. If that was how everyone with a warranty issue acted on here, this forum would be the most miserable place on the internet. (Aka Facebook) I don’t disagree with you but if we discount his problem based on ...

Yeah. He’s opinionated and abrasive but that doesn’t remove the fact that his paysan lock stick is horrendous.wrdwrght wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 5:26 pmThis thread from the guy who gave us viewtopic.php?t=90659.

Re: Updated Paysan..?
I would be VERY interested in this if it didn’t have the dumb spoon clip on it. Spoon clip is great on a $60 delica or manix/pm3/2 but on a $600+ knife? Pass.

... That is still the plan. These were likely produced before they switched to screw construction. I think it’s reasonable to assume that spyderco doesn’t assemble knives and sit on them in storage. If so, it appears that spyderco has not switched to screw construction. They actually have on other ...

I view combo edge the same as I view gold speckled mirrors and mustard brown shag carpet. Someone somewhere sometime in the past liked it and luckily now nobody wants it anymore.

Still riveted, I thought I had read that Manix LWs were moving to screw construction. Still the plan, just not yet, or was that just a rumor? That is still the plan. Agreed. That’s what I’d like to see in the ukpk.

Re: If you could have any knife in magnacut, why would you opt for another steel?
Because there's Rex45. I’m a huge fan of Rex45, and many other steels. Just because someone thinks magnacut offers the best balance of properties does not mean it offers the best properties for my needs. I’ve found Rex45 to offer exactly what I need in a knife steel and none of the hype surrounding...

Re: Canis showed up last night on Spyderco's site!!!
I’m a huge fan of the Canis. Had mine now for over a year. It’s an EXCELLENT knife. It may not have the visual appeal that everyone prefers but it grows on you (or at least it did for me). The action is impeccable. Easily one of the smoothest actions of any spyderco knife I own. No stop pin rattle a...

Re: Why no deep carry pocket clip?
Some few here are quick to jump on the guy for wanting a deep carry pocket clip. Instead of listening to what he had to offer you’ve completely dismissed his point of view in a manner of polite disrespect. By the vocal few who don’t hold his position you’ve claimed victory over the matter, not by be...

Re: KnifeCenter Manix 2 XL Cruwear/Smooth G10
I have their regular manix cruwear smooth scales. Yeah Smooth G-10 = NEVER AGAIN. If I did not already own the DLC Manix XL I might consider this and look to swap the scales. I had the cruwear smooth g10 yojimbo and quickly returned it due to the scales being too smooth. Never again here also.

FYI, We have been informed that ZDP will still be available, but only in the San Mai laminate. We will use the laminate to replace the solid ZDP models. sal Excellent news. I enjoy zdp189 even though it’s not the latest and greatest steel flavor. Reading that it will be all laminated is a benefit t...

Re: Autonomy Spring Replacement Kit Applicability
I buy them in person at SFO. Never ordered them online. Whenever I had asked and they weren’t in, they were back in stock by the next time I went in. I have every autonomy(2) model and a kit to support it fwiw.

Re: Reveal 12 Live!
I’ll be the first to say I’m excited for the counter critters. I bought the counter puppies as soon as they were released and my spouse loves them as paring type knives. That the critters are larger should be better for me because they should fit me better.

Re: Autonomy Spring Replacement Kit Applicability
I have a few of these kits for my various autonomy(2) knives. The kits work for both models. Also the kits distinguish between satin and black, which makes the only difference being the color of the replacement screw. On the autonomy 2’s I’ve taken apart, I reused the original screws after cleaning ...
