Re: Bento Box Customer Service...
I think they mean, don’t disassemble and take a grinder to it. Pencil or sharpie has always worked for me. It’s a minor bummer when you get some lock stick but I never had one that didn’t fix itself over time. Heard it does happen, but not yet to me. Good luck. It should be a great knife in no time...

Good choice, it's an exceptional knife. It's your first but I'm pretty sure it won't be your last :) Welcome to the forum.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?
I'm already seeing a number of these hit the secondary as - surprising nobody - folks who previously didn't like the shaman don't like this one either. FOMO fueled a bunch of these purchases as the hype dragged people in. Maybe the best lesson learned from this whole experience is that the market i...

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...
my compression locks occasionally experience lock stick, but especially in the breaking-in period. I've found the cause is usually lubrication oil getting onto the lock face. I use a q-tip dampened with rubbing alcohol to scrub any debris or lubrication away and that helps. Also, there are two inter...

Re: Squarehead pull strap
it's an excellent knife, it's a shame the market isn't more responsive. When i carry/use it, it attracts a lot of positive attention from folks who aren't normally knife fans.

Re: Spyderedged Blades: A Total Mis-Understanding Maybe?
It's my impression that the relative lack of popularity experienced by SE blades has everything to do with perceived lack of easy sharpening. We know they're easy to touch up on the sharpmaker, but perhaps the larger market does not.

Re: ‘Carbides in Maxamet’ article in the Scienceofsharp
I would think (especially based on the latter images in the article) that the carbides exposed along the edge would be more susceptible to lateral forces. a more apt comparison to the concrete would look for gravel tearout on especially sharp curbs? I'm not sure if the tearout concern is being worri...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?
As the hype on this fades, I'm already starting to hear again the usual Shaman complaints/justifications for not buying one.... 1) the nub hits my finger 2) it's too expensive for what it is 3) there's not enough flash or it's too workmanlike 4) it's too big/heavy it's certainly possible that a chu...

I don't mind which way it comes, so long as I have the ability to change it to the way I prefer :)

Re: What models would you like to see with the side button compression lock like the Smock
I'm not going to say none, because i do believe that spyderco could create a solid, safe, and reliable button compression lock knife. It's worth exploring. The smock's implementation presents several concerns that make it unlikely for me to use the knife as readily as normal compression lock knives....

a counterexample: the sage series and the gayle bradley series started out with M4. the sage 3, however, is now in s30v due to requests for the same ergonomics in a stainless package. I don't know where you found your Sages, but mine and everyone else's were never M4.. On topic, i agree ...
