Hello! If as you say the second thing you do is lock up your knives after looking at them, then how sharp they are won't really matter, does it? I usually don't sharpen knives that I don't use. I do put my own edges on knives before I take them with me to use. A factory edge pretty much doesn't mat...

My M390 Millie had one or two such very distinct grind marks and it was purchased at SFO.

Since getting it, my blade now has several distinct scratch marks from the SM. I just adore it more now

Man, that's posh. Do you also keep a moisture inhibitor inside that case?

I keep mine in my pocket. It's a cold damp place but its there when I need it. I seem to be going to very dangerous places recently. With strange people, one can't be too careful.

The first was a SAK to my best friend. He still has it which is good. The second was a CS Rajah III to a chap named Raja. He loved it. The third was a Spyderco Manix 2 XL last Christmas to a friend from the Netherlands. I think he likes it. Not sure though.

I think that the civilian is a true invention in these troubled times that for which Spyderco needs more credit for. Given its purpose, an Emerson opener would be useful. I need to get one soon. But my favorite supplier does not sell those. Millie 2 is due to come out soon. Do a search for past thre...

You know, when I pre-order stuff, they have a tendency to turn up with other suppliers first. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Manix 2 XL ? Its a stout and strong knife. Not that expensive either. The Tuff would be my first choice, second will be the Manix 2 XL and thirdly, the Military.

Look forward to hearing what you bought finally.......

I envy the members who get to go to these meets. You all get to see the prototypes and even handle them. And the you know how well the production knives reflect these prototypes when they are available.

I got a SS Endura before I got a Manix 2 XL. Not the best to compare with but they were two totally different blades. I would say that you should buy what you like most.

Sorry to hear about your Endura.

Using a Spydie to open bottles

This thread is a result of another that focused on CF. I have always been interested in how some members explain how they have used their Spydie to open bottles/remove bottle caps. The other thread explained about using the handle to do this, using the Spydie hole, using the blade's spine and even t...

How good is it for fighting Zombies? Hope it's going good for you :D

True. For me, I did not think that it would be available so soon. KC usually gets stock much later than others. So I suppose I have a long wait.

The Tuff.

I like the ergos and how it feels in my hand. It's like having a small axe in my hand but one which can be used for minor cutting tasks as well. It's a one of a kind knife.

Tvenuto, great idea and thanks for doing this giveaway. Please don't enter me in the drawing though. I currently use a Tuff to manage my mail room chores at work. Though I have used my other knives for food prep, I have not yet used The Tuff to do this. Not sure how 3V will react to acids etc. it's ...
