I'm about 90% sure that the Spyderco C-27 Jess Horn was a Moki. I'm wondering at this point if the AUS-8 Jess Horn Spyders were also Moki made??? You can be a 100% sure. I have one of the 'left over' C27 Jess Horn's that is stamped Moki on the blade, in a Moki sheath with a Moki box and Moki pamfle...

I've wondered who makes the H-1 Salt Spyders>> I've thought that it almost has to be the same company that makes their kitchen stuff as well>> Or if I'm on the wrong track then I guess whoever did the MBS-26 kitchen Spyders may have been a different contractor all together. If anyone can sort out m...

I'd swear that the Caly3 was harder to profile/sharpen than the Stretch, Delica, or Dragonfly in ZDP-189. Did a quick amazon search on Tormek... definitely not a cheap alternative. I could do some damage with one of those. Yes, indeed not cheap. I got one as a gift so was lucky. If you're a 100+ kn...

I wonder why is there the small hole near the pivot? If you're talking about on the scale, that's to hold the stop pin, if you're talking about on the blade, that's the detent. Donut, no, Igi964 has a point. Somehow I overlooked it, but apart from the detent in the blade, there is the other hole ne...

For anyone wondering, I think the rough surface on the lockbar insert is tungsten carbide (same stuff used in drillbits). It is deposited on the surface by carbidizing, a welding type process where tiny particles are melted into the base metal. The carbide is very hard and wear resistant making the...

I also took mine apart because the pivot wasn't normal. I noticed one of the teflon washers was not flat. It looked crimped or something. I bet you had fun seperating the handle. I can see the pry marks you left. You'll have even more fun getting it back together again. Needless to say I don't have...

Not to change the subject, Ted, but I'm wondering if I'm the only one for whom the models page has not rendered properly in Firefox since your pages were merged with Spydiewiki? On my computers, when using Firefox, the photos don't show at all and everything past the regular K01-K09 Pro Culinaire k...
