That's interesting, I resize to 5.0 megapixels and compress using 90% Jpeg compression at work and the file sizes range from 0.6 to 1.2 megs. 3,450x2,700 is 9.3 ish megapixels. I would think you'd want 95% compression if the file size doesn't get too big. The file size is going to depend on how ran...

Try a bit higher JPEG compression in the software that you're using. I got mine at 3648x2736 - sharpened - with JPEG at quality High '8' in Photoshop to a 1.6MB file. I can spot minimal differences with the original but I'll doubt that will be visible in print.

During our summer holiday this year I used my Spyderco Bushcraft on my first attempt to do some wood carving. I tried a 5 minute Owl. The knife was absolutely great in turning a round wooden log in a square one, and then carving out the Owl and making it round again, and maintaining the Owl's ears. ...
