Spyderco should offer more blades with these coatings.

Re: MagnaCut - Yeah, It's Probably Just Hype...

I was *very* hyped for the LC200N Salt 2, and I could resist it so far (I admit I couldn't resist an all black version though).
But for MagnaCut I'll even buy a yellow N5! The hype is very strong indeed.

My hands aren't big but I completely get what vivi is saying. I don't have these particular models but I've come to similar issues with other knives.

Instead of a new design, we could start we the "polls of death" to get to know which forum knife we want for the year 2025 ☠️

I'm still down! Hopefully a blacked out version and a standard green.
i just saw your comment. :rofl sometimes, i think it's just the two of us.
Count me in.
I've been asking this, and all black options for all the salt series, for a long time.

Re: Sharpening horror

We, knife nuts, do have different standards. 1 - Yesterday night, while in the kitchen, my wife told me her favorite knife was our son's knife, a knife he uses from when he was 3 years old (he'll be five in a couple of months). That is a rounded tip, serrated and blunt Victorinox paring knife. 2 - M...

Re: Lightweight Yojimbo?

Back lock - no
Lightweight - yes
Salt - yes

Specifically useful for when you have those missions when you have to immerse yourself in water and breathe through a bamboo straw. "Water"meaning whatever liquid, so yes, it must be a MagnaCut Salt.

Re: Chaparral safety

I've offered a sincere reply in one of the many threads started by OP, but he's obviously a troll. Why would you need 1k euros in Spain to go to the hospital?
Things don't connect, and the questions are becoming more and more material of twilight zone.

Re: A knife designed by the forum

This is a too much very crazy idea... and that's why we should try it :zany

I propose initial rounds with only 2 options (fixed vs folder, salt vs regular, for example).
Later on the options could be more, like for colors or materials.
But every round is final and the option with most votes wins.

With the advent of MagnaCut, most models will eventually become salty anyway 🤷‍♂️
O hope so, but I just want to emphasize that a Salt model is more than its blade. In fact, for me, that's the real advantage over other very stainless steel models.

Re: Pacific Salt talk

Thoughts on this? Hi Jason, This is in fact my only gripe with the H1 Salt 2 and Pac Salt (not present on the Dragonfly because the grind is very tall). This issue is worse on the Salt 2, being smaller than the Pacific Salt makes the hollow grind very short and chunky. That said, I'm eying an all b...
