Re: any other Pattada fans ?
The catalog was my first time seeing it. But it looks very interesting to me so far, and I do plan to eventually get one. I always seem to like the ethnic series knives.

Re: The Stainless Dilemma
I pretty much always prefer stainless. There's never been anything I need to do with a knife that a good stainless steel can't do, without any extra maintenance or concern.

Very nice catalog. Some interesting stuff in there! It's nice to see some more narrow blade shapes in the lineup.

Re: Calling all Urban owners, opinions needed.
I have a wharncliffe and leaf G-10 Urban. They both have very strong springs and lockup. The wharncliffe has the most solid lockup of any slipit I have.

Re: Does anyone else wish that all Lightweight versions came with the deep carry wire clip?
There have been some threads on how to do it. You basically just drop the clip in the ferric chloride for about 1 minute, and it's done. But it's toxic stuff, so safety precautions and proper disposal are important. Here's my Slysz Bowie with what used to be a shiny Foundry clip on it. http://i15.ph...

Re: Does anyone else wish that all Lightweight versions came with the deep carry wire clip?
One good thing about the wire clips is you can choose low ride or high ride, and swap them out. Also, it's super easy to etch the shiny clips with ferric chloride. I've done that with several of mine, and it makes a really nice, discreet, matte finish.

Re: Does anyone else wish that all LW versions came with the deep carry wire clip?
I would prefer a wire clip on the Native 5 LW, but I don't really mind the hourglass clip. The biggest problem I have with it is that the clip doesn't quite line up with the flat spot on the scale, so it catches pocket fabric more than it should.

Re: Spyderco PITS Folder (Pie In The Sky)
I actually like how the titanium looks with scratches. I always prefer bare titanium to anodized, so I'm very glad to have the original finish. After removing the guard and sanding down the sharp handle edges, this is one of my favorite knives, lock or no lock.

Re: Spyderco PITS Folder (Pie In The Sky)
I'm not sure, but I've seen several comments on here from people who didn't like the original finish. I'm sure the price puts off many too. But this is one that far exceeded my expectations, so I hope this change will push people off the fence and give this great knife a try.

I really hope more people buy the anodized version. The PITS is such a fantastic knife. It's been in my pocket all week.

Re: New Spyderco for 2016: The Introvert Flipper
Blade steel is rarely a factor in my purchase decision (unless it's to complete a specific collection, etc.). Design, ergos, lock, and handle material are more important to me in my uses. I do prefer stainless in most cases, and have been more than happy with VG-10 so far.

Re: Spyderco Consumer Announcement
I'm taking the "wait and see" approach before I comment on Spyderco's implementation of MAP. But I can understand the frustration and concern, especially considering the steady upward climb knife prices have taken over the last few years. Many are in serious danger of being priced out of t...
