Just ordered my first Tanto blade pocket knife a couple days ago! Been reading about sharpening them on other forums and some guys have trouble, while other guys say it's easy! I guess we'll find out. There was some talk about different edge angles for the tip and main body of the blade. Makes sense...

I would prefer a highly stainless steel if worn around the neck. Close to that salty sweat and everything. CTS-XHP would be fine to keep the price low as possible! ;)

Stewart, I was wondering about the designed purpose of this knife. With the thick spine of the blade and nice belly, I would assume it is a heavy butchering knife primarily. Could you elaborate on this knife and it's purpose please? Thanks for a great knife design! :)

I am an absolute nut when it comes to water on steel! The Tenifer treatment is good for outside, but if it gets inside I wouldn't be able to sleep without breaking it down! :D

I had one years ago - the pin worked fine, though not as well as a normal size tool. I eventually sold it because, and this sounds funny perhaps, I found the Endura a very big knife, and I say that as an absolute believer in the Military. Go figure... Pa. is a CC state and I always carry one of my ...

I love my SM. I'm not one of these types "passionate" about sharpening though. I like to get in, and get it done. Just me! I love the SM also. Might look into those new diamond rods, or just get the present ones to speed up the re-profiling process! All of you guys with those glass-like e...

Can't really agree with you there. The last 2 years I got flu shots and the last 3 years I have been more sick than ever in my life. They say you can't get sick from the shot, but that's the only reason I can find that's made me so sick the last few years. I won't be getting one next year. I'm sure...

Would hold up cutting abrasives similarly to s30v but in harder use, will dull by rolling instead of chipping, it has much more toughness and the edge resists deformation very well. It holds an edge longer for me than some of the high wear steels Sometimes as my edges Sometimes dull from cutting me...

My review of the Tuff is here: http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?58441-Spyderco-Tuff-Review-5-months-in-WARNING-HUNTING-pics&highlight= My opinion is unchanged and it remains corrosion free: not even a patina. It is stiffer to open than most Spydies, though I have never had a proble...

Well, you could paracord wrap this one and order another for your scales! That's if you didn't damage the pins. I'm sure you could get more pins from Halpern! :)

I have the Emerson waved Matriarch. The Emerson wave works well, the knife itself... well I haven't had to test it for its designed usage. Nice to know! Good to have just in case! I saw the zip tie mod on you tube! Real easy to do, but I wanted a knife with the real Emerson opening feature! If I li...
