Re: LeafJumper

My Leafjumper SE is enroute to 15 degree scallops on the Sharpmaker. I've been using the CBN rods while watching TV in the PM. Still hitting the top shoulder of the large scallops after a couple hundred light strokes. I'm seeing progress but I've got a ways to go.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

I went with the RC Bladeworks tip up micarta scales. Right side tip up was the only option I looked for, but they may offer left side as well. A little pricey, but I like them a lot.

Re: No movement in the forum

Agreed. Let's get started with a Harrier 2 Hawkbill. 8CR is okay but BD1N in blue or orange FRN wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Re: DLT Cruwear Endela

Just got mine yesterday and I'm liking it a lot. I really enjoy the feel of the cruwear on the stones. I don't think the endela is going to replace all of my enduras, but I think my love affair with cruwear is just getting started.

Re: New to forum

I think the Native 5 Lightweight is the perfect Spydie intro. Best backlock in the business and a rich history with lotsa great steel selections and FRN colors.

https://i.postimg.cc/SsZwkmGN/20230418-091631.jpg I have the Dfly in this config and have been extremely impressed. So much so that I recently ordered the Endela. The Dfly was my first Cru-Wear blade and my recent order will be my first Endela. Sorry I missed out on the Delica and hoping that DLT w...

Pricey stuff but I'm intrigued. Would like to see some additional translucent colors like orange or blue or green. Let us know how it ages.

Re: Can we get a ZDP Straight Spine Stretch in British Racing Green?

Just anecdotal, but I recently brought my ZDP Endura down to 10 degrees on the Galley-V. Started with the CBN rods from the Gauntlet and finished with the whites. However, it seemed to be prone to micro-chipping so I brought it back to 15 degrees and that seems to be the sweet spot for me. But I got...

The Dragonfly was my first Spydie in ZDP-189. I still have it, along with a Delica, Endura, and Stretch 2.

Re: MagnaCut in Seki knives

Seems like it wouldn't be much of a 'stretch' to get a Salt Stretch XL in MC. mostly an FRN color change and blade steel upgrade. No liners to worry about.

Any chance you could post a pick with it between a Delica and a Dragonfly, or next to either one?

Yeah Jimmy has really sold those RC Bladeworks Scales with his Smock. I have their page pinned for one of those Micarta sets for a Military with tip up configuration. Heck, maybe two Militaries who knows.
You won't regret it. I did it with my blurple s110 millie.

I've never had either in-hand, but I've always liked the 'flow' of the Sliverax design.

Re: Macro & Close-Up Photos!

Thanks for sharing the macro world with us. I recently picked up a Pentax Papilio binocular for my daughter who is a Botanist with a corollary interest in pollinators. The Papilio focuses down to 1.6 feet and offers stunning binocular views of flowers, insects, etc.. Of course I had to wander around...

Saver Salt... don't see this one too often.

This is where the Manbug Salt got it's blade profile. My Saver Salt and my Ocelot are the only Spydies I've lost the boxes for.
