Not to be too "old school," but don't forget that if you feel the need to be discreet, you can always just drop a Spydie down into your pocket ala an old-fashioned pocketknife. I used to do this from time to time with my Delica. It would work even better with the smaller models. IMHO, clip...

Hate to say it, but I regretted buying a Spyderco Wayne Goddard lightweight. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice enough knife, just too darn big for my tastes (I bought it from an online shop sight unseen). The good news is that I was able to trade it for an almost new Endura that I love.

Agreed.
With that said, what has AKTI done lately to undo this sort of bogus perception?

Once in high school a bunch of our gym lockers got ransacked by some POS punk. One of our football coaches was helping to clean up, and helping to put everybody back with their stuff (their stuff that hadn't been stolen, I mean). I was one of the last guys in the locker room when he opened a locker ...

You can take supreme comfort from this: "Spyderco warrants that all of our products are free from defects in material and workmanship."

If Spyderco made it, I wouldn't worry about it.

There are quite a few Spydies that I'd never buy. I'd have no use for a Harpy, Civilian, L'il Temperance, Bob Lum Fixed Blade or Tanto Folder, Chinook, Matriarch, Massad Ayoob, Khalsa, Shabaria, Merlin or Cricket.
I guess I'm just boring, but I don't like any of the "weird" Spydies.

I have a plain-edge Endura lightweight - what a great knife! Great for camping, hiking, defense/peace of mind, simple utility, etc. I’m kind of a traditionalist at heart, so for me the benchmark of quality, affordability (which is important to me), and ruggedness, has always been the venerable Buck ...
