Re: Gentleman Jess(Baby Horn)
I'm totally in for a "money is no object" baby horn, it's one of the few models in my collection that I love so much that I got a backup copy. However, I'm not sure the market is there for it - the sprint model is still available at some dealers 3 years after release, which blows my mind, ...

Yes, yes yes yes, yes please!! I'd love a tough SE (H1?) and a wear resistant PE (not picky). Though who am I kidding, I'll be in for whatever flavor wharnie we might get.

Native 5 LW clip replacements?
Hey y'all,
Couldn't spot it on a previous thread and my googlefu is failing me - does anyone know if there are makers that make a clip for the native 5 lw? It seems to me like it's a unique screw configuration amongst spydies (but I could be wrong about that). Looking to spruce up my maxamet

Re: Hollow Grinds
I would love to see more high hollow grinds in the rotation, though I wonder what the cost premium increase would look like. However, to me, a hollow grind only makes sense on thicker blade stocks, and I tend to go for slim stock anyway (chaparral, watu, etc). Maybe a HHG native / chief could be rad...

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread
Oh man, been fiending for this one for years, yay!!! Please don't hurt me if I chop this down to a 7" OAL. Looking at the specs the Swayback's bigger than I thought it would be. Kind of disappointed it doesn't have the 3" blade that I envisioned. Oh well! I'm still in I was thinking the s...

Native Chief Rex45 Sprint Alert Thread
I didn't see an alert thread for this guy yet so wanted to start it up. Alert threads have always been way better for me to actually snag a sprint than in-stock notifications or blind luck. I haven't been able to pull the trigger on a chief yet, but the Native has been my #1 carry for the year and w...

Re: Sharpening a Knife
Hi Kat, The CBN stones are more for re-profiling the edge. Light strokes. I use them to make sure the two sides of the edge are met. It is possible that you can get some edges shaving sharp with just CBN. We have a new CBN flat stone with 400 mesh on one side and 1,000 mesh on the other side. I sha...

Re: Native CQI linerless/FRN blade swap?
I just did the swap, swapping both the blades and lockbars to keep each set paired. Came out very well! I needed to really press the G10 back together to eliminate any gap between the scales and the lockbar/backspacer, but once I got it fully seated it's good to go!

Re: Native CQI linerless/FRN blade swap?
I swapped a LW Native 5 Rex 45 with a G10 Rex 45 and it went fine. They're both pretty easy to assemble. I didn't notice any issues on either once I got them reassembled. (got a used Rex 45 G-10 which had a blade which had been used pretty rough already, and wanted to put that on the beater LW and ...

Re: Native 5 Lightweight Rex 45
Is it just my imagination, or is the FRN from Golden even sharper than the Seki and Taichung FRN? Boy this is some grippy stuff. Going to need a touch of sanding to save my pockets, but I love the light weight and durability of the material.
