Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread
I'm really happy with mine. For me its usage and carry role will be for specific tasks at home where a tanto is ideal, light miscellaneous EDC, and a last resort tactical role which means it will be with me for most miscellaneous errands. For a defensive role, I feel that this Tanto profile is bette...

Re: Exclusives?
So bladehq made quite the investment in the Emerson and tanto in terms of research development and product marketing....????? Its hard to know the exact specifics without knowing the details of the agreement but on the surface it would appear that BladeHQ agreed to fund the entire batch, to the poi...

Re: Sprint run Manix XL clicks. Any idea why?
Mine still clicks... tried 3 times Yours is most likely caused by the rod that the spring rides on, which is molded into the cage. The manix is one of my favorite models and I've extensively looked into the maladies and variances that can happen with them. In examples that have the "click"...

Re: will we see a dragonfly in maxamet or LC200N steel in the future?
I love Maxamet but I think the stock thickness of the Dragonfly is too thin to support it for the general market.
The upcoming K390 Dragonfly option will provide edge retention to the maximum while retaining enough strength in the steel
I'm definitely on board with a Dragonfly LC200N

Re: CPM SPY27 | Edge Performance
I'm eager to see the results 100% I saw Submicron’s review on blade forms I am hoping Shawn can confirm or deny these test. Based on sub microns review on waveform this might be the most undervalued and under rated steel to come out in a long time I'm very surprised that other people have not publi...

Re: Book on metallurgy and knifemaking by Larrin Thomas
If you were designing a Spyderco for yourself, for your own usage profile, what would it be and why? I’ve never really felt there was some major knife design or feature missing in the market that really needed filling. I’ve seen some people complain recently that there are too many steels coming ou...

Re: Book on metallurgy and knifemaking by Larrin Thomas
I’ve never fancied myself a knife designer. I do think there’s a hole in the market when it comes to knife design books though. I wish someone with expertise in that area would write a whole book on knife and handle design. Or maybe a book on influential knife designs and why they made an impact. H...

I'd be content if they duct taped the blade to a stick. I just want the steel.

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
The reveal means nothing. I feel like I have to wait now for Para3 news from the Web not Spyderco. I say BS on this. If Spyderco was providing the news, it still would be through the web... the origin shouldn't matter. In the case of a Spyderco sprint run thats not a dealer exclusive, such as the P...

Re: Book on metallurgy and knifemaking by Larrin Thomas
Mine showed up today! Very nice :D , whatcha think? I've only begun to read and page through the book. Larrin seems to go over pretty much everything, and it's all presented in a way that's similar to his website. It's easy enough to read and understand and he gets to the point. It would appear tha...

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
If I have to buy new Para 3s off eBay (which I just did for the 1st time) then Spyderco is doing something wrong. I might be considering moving on as Spyderco doesn't seem to inform people like they used to. Their new format is a failure and it seems as long as they make a profit then.....whatever ...

Re: First Spyderco maxamet ?
What did you decide on getting?
The PM2 and Para3 are available at Bento Box Shop in K390.
K390 or REX-45 would ultimately be my recommendation as your first Spyderco.
