You get these down your way? https://i.imgur.com/CVPtEuS.jpg Hey Tim, sounds the same, the cheeky buggers are everywhere around here. The most I've seen in a gang is five and I've seen them share the footpath with pedestrians. I reckon they're cool and really like them too, but that said they're no...

Re: Endura SE ffg
Everytime I use my ffg SE Endela, I have the the impulse to bump this thread... and now I just do once more.. ;) I´d really like to know if there are at least plans to bring out an ffg SE Endura (other than the Wharnie) similar to the ffg SE Endela. This would be such a great knife But then again, ...

Interesting that the black handle Pacs come with a more acute grind. That would be my combo of choice anyway.
Thanks mate.

Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines
Put me down for something long, thin and slicey. Every time I carry one of my traditionals, I’m reminded that geometry cuts and all things being equal, I prefer thinner blade stock on an edc knife. Durability is not really an issue when you can simply opt for a more obtuse primary bevel(outside of g...

Re: K390 Hawkbill Dragonfly?
I've heard about these zip tie horrors but I haven't experienced them myself. In fact when the S110V Manix 2 LW came out I did some testing with heavy zip ties (the kind the police hog tie people with) and some banding straps and didn't experience any chipping at all. I wonder if some people are cu...
Re: Turkey
Never been a fan of turkey, it’s about at the bottom of the meats I’d prefer to eat ladder. Hey Tim, you get Bush Turkeys up where you are? They’re all over the place here. This one was on the road about 100yrs from the front gate here on my way to work the other day. https://i.postimg.cc/LsLq61VQ/...

Re: Randall 1-7 - The process begins.
Sure is pretty. What do you make of their 440B? From what I’ve read it’s run at 55-56 I found this interesting from their website: A special high carbon (1.00%) stainless steel not obtainable in ordinary knives. The same stainless steel specified by NASA for knives used by Gemini astronauts. Immune ...

I’m currently in a faithful relationship with a Manix LW. She’s been everything a man could want.
I’m only human though and I admit I’ve fraternised briefly with other models. I’ve mostly managed to keep my fingers out of other spydie holes though.

Re: Your "return ethics"?
Regarding the ethics of returning a knife because you changed your mind or don’t like it. Not something I would do personally. We all hold ourselves to certain values. One of mine is personal accountability. Sometimes it costs me money. I do not stand in judgement of those who don’t hold themselves...

Re: What "others" are in the mail?
Randall Model 1-7 - Stainless/ Black Micarta Classy. Nice knife. I try not to look at those Randalls too often. Practicality be damned, I could edc the sh*t out of a Randall boot knife. I do too, I was thinking about knives that I missed having. I used to have a Randall 1-7/ O1 Leather handle, bras...

Re: Reverse S Dragonfly please!
I’ve been wanting to play with a reverse S for a while now. My preference would be for PE. I feel it has all the benefits of a hawkbill with less of the downsides. I’ve hovered over ‘add to cart’ on a Matriarch many times but I’m not sure I’d carry it in public. It’s a very aggressive looking knife....

Re: Dlc sells out faster than satin
At individual retailers? No idea but just a guess.
DLC restocking numbers are lower than Satin because they typically sell less of them, the smaller inventory sells faster.
Or
DLC is more popular than satin, so they sell out quicker.

Re: Your "return ethics"?
I also don't return unless it is not as advertised. If there were to be a flaw it would go to Spyderco if for no other reason than to make sure it isn't going to be resold as is with flaws to someone else. If seriously flawed Spyderco will want to know about it for pretty obvious reasons. Joe When ...

Re: Your "return ethics"?
I generally don’t return. I have a few knives sitting in a drawer, including Spydercos, that definitely warrant return but I haven’t for the following reasons - 99% of my knife buying is from the US. As an Aussie it is cost prohibitive to return a knife that I may be told doesn’t warrant replacement...
