Re: Need More Smaller, In The Field Sharpening Tools

I'm a life-long pocket stone user. I have the Pro-Files, but don't use them much. My most used are a 4" Eze-Lap and the Fallkniven DC-4. I maintain the edges on mt EDC's with a 4" homemade strop.

I need to get a Spyderco pocket stone...

Re: The Manbug...Impressed

From what info I've found, it is a HSS and NOT stainless. That rules it out for me. I'll just keep pressing for a plain ol' orange FRN Manbug. ;)

Of all the knives shown, the ARK and colored Roadies are calling to me. I really like the orange and grey Roadies, and the blue and red ain't too bad either.

Re: The Manbug...Impressed

I tried a fob again today.....and it still gets in my way. I have no trouble opening it one handed without one.
That's the beauty of having a lanyard hole. You can use it, or not. Regardless, this is one sweet little knife. :spyder:

Re: The Manbug...Impressed

I have a love/hate thing going with fobs...I love the idea of being able to pull it from a watch pocket easier, but hate that it hinders maneuvering the knife in my hand. I usually go fobless.

Re: The Manbug...Impressed

My experience with ZDP-189 (DFly2) has shown me that it's not a great steel option for me. I prefer something a little easier to touch up (when needed) and with more corrosion resistance. I do love the BRG color though. :D

The Manbug...Impressed

I have been carrying the Manbug (black FRN/PE) since receiving it a week ago. To say it has impressed me is an understatement. I have always been a fan of smaller knives. The Ladybug is a modern classic. I could never warm up to it completely. There are a few things about it that are a little "...

Liking the Roadie colors. I might have to pick up 1 or 2 (or 3) of them somewhere down the line.
