The curve of the cutting edges are essentially identical until you get to the very tip, where the Tasman's blade tip drops sharply: https://i.imgur.com/7t3LaKo.jpg This is obviously a personal preference; but for my EDC uses I found the h...

I wonder if they'll be a chance for CPM 15v in a mule? Other than Rex45 and 15v (my wishes) is there any other new steel you would like to see?

Re: Is DPS 15 Damascus "Real" Damascus??

Damasteel makes an extremely high quality (and extremely expensive) clad damascus. The core they use is N11X which I understand is their version of Vanax SC (licensed from Böhler-Uddeholm).

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Looks like there will be a new line of bench stones from Venev out soon... Dragon Series Diamonds consist of two 2 mm-thick diamond-bearing layers glued to the aluminum plate. The diamond layer thickness is twice more than in the Phoenix series and has tighter flatness tolerance. The diamond-bearing...

I like the look but will need to get it in-hand before I commit to the $182 price tag...especially with all the other jewels in the reveal. Not sure what they are going to have for the other reveals!? Where do you see prices? https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C251CF/1841 MSRP - 30%

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."

The Spydie flick is so natural for me on most models I hardly even realize I'm doing it. In public I use a slow thumb roll because the flick seems to freak people out. I don't see much point in the thumb flick. If I'm using my thumb the roll is more stable in the hand and arguably just as fast as a ...

I don't get serrated blades (if SE stands for "serrated").
I didn't really either until I saw this video posted by forum member Jazz. I now own several SE blades.

That comes from steak, mushrooms and asparagus. I absolutely love it and am done with foods, I don't want it to change from what it is right now.

I'm in for any UKPK variant but I think if it's done with the same Crucarta treatment the Shaman got last year it would be a slam dunk ;)
