Re: Native 5 salt is Magnacut?

Maybe a Seki vs Golden thing? Or maybe FRP vs FRCP? I have a Magnacut Native en route and I have an LC2000 here so I can post a comparison soon if no one beats me to it.

Re: Native 5 in 15V Anyone else want one?

It seems like the CPM-15V Sprint Runs with Brown G-10 may be like the many CPM-REX45 Sprint Runs with Burnt Orange G-10 from a few years ago: ParaMilitary2 Para3 Military Manix2 Native Chief Native5 Lil’ Native Shaman On the Military it’ll probably be Military2. Some of the LW got the REX45 treatme...

I am pretty sure we won´t see that steel on Seki- knives? (But rather just on "Goldens"?)
This is what I was thinking too, so that's why I brought up the N5.

...but if it makes it to Seki, I'll take a Delica wharnie. :)

Re: Native 5 in 15V Anyone else want one?

I like to think the Native Chief, Native 5, and Lil Native will all be included in the 15V sprint run series. Maybe even the Para 3 and Military Model as well. I’d personally like to see it in a Lil Native the most. You're probably right. ...and I'd be all over a back lock Lil Native too, though it...

Native 5 in 15V Anyone else want one?

I really want to try some 15V but so far none of the models it's been/being released on are knives I use. Who else wants to see a 15V back lock?

I haven't in Europe in over 20 years but isn't this a dealer issue (charging MSRP) more than anything?

Re: sal can we get some new Lil Matriarchs?

...but it’s not that great compared to most of Spyderco’s portfolio. It is, however something uniquely Spyderco. They basically made the Civilian family a niche style of knife. I beg to differ, love the 3 I own and use them daily (some of my most used). The lil's vs Matriarch and Civilian are quite...

Re: Nudist carry

There's a guy that makes neck sheaths for the Dragonfly, Manbug, and Ladybug on Amazon or eBay. One even opens the knife when it is pulled out. I have one for my Manbug and one for my wife's Ladybug. They work well and no worries about getting cut while sheathing like with the Swick. https://i.imgu...

Re: Should I Strop?

I can't speak to stropping on a guided system but my preferred strop material is basswood. It's relatively soft for wood but stiffer than leather and does a good job of holding the stropping emulsions I use. I also find that using a stropping technique on a high grit 5k and up (or 1200 grit Venev) s...

Thanks for sharing the files. I made one in micarta with a cnc router. I think it came out really well. I think the pattern looks more interesting than simple crosshatching.

I feel like all types of micarta don't act the same once oils and other stuff get in them. I have some linen micarta that just get super slippery, and some canvas that just does not change when it comes to grip ! I also have some Terotuf, that seems to not even absorb the oils :thinking Same experi...

Re: Spyderco Drunken Discontinued?

Who cares....it was like $500, was away over priced for a freaking spyderco my god! The milling on the CF scale of the Drunken is next level. The Shiro next to it here was about twice the price of the Drunken and isn't as nice IMHO. https://i.imgur.com/e5QF5yk.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OgnHh6j.jpg
