You may have to wait a while. Dealers aren't real keen to sell new inventory while they're stuck with old inventory that no one will buy - makes them reluctant to buy new inventory.

Re: Disapointed with customer service..

If it was “a well known problem” did he expect his to be different? Did he return it to the retailer as unacceptable? Did he decide to fix the issue himself? Is he now dependent on Spyderco to sell him parts for his disassembled knife? Can he find parts elsewhere? Did Spyderco — someone who represe...

Re: Disapointed with customer service..

I went back and looked at a number of old forum posts about this and similar complaints. In almost every instance the original complainer had a reason why they would not return the problem knife to Spyderco. They all want an exception to Spyderco's policies. I am sorry that you aren’t satisfied wit...

https://imgur.com/gallery/UW9cRuc You should see it next to my thumb. Yeah that's unusual. Send it in, it'll likely get replaced. I would call it a fluke, and I wouldn't worry about using S110V in the future. It's important that they get knives like this for evaluation to make sure there wasn't a p...

Re: Disapointed with customer service..

Again, there is nothing "common sense" about Spyderco refusing to provide washers and bearing races. These are not custom fit parts they are drop-in and replace. Again, Spyderco's weak bearing flipper design has been identified a problem, utterly ridiculous that they continue to allow this...

Re: Fixed blade sprints

fixed blades just don't sell well for them overall compared to the folders. I think sales is most of the answer. I'm pretty sure it's the entire answer. I wouldn't be surprised if their fixed blade volume is small enough that the actual production batches aren't much smaller than a PM2 sprint run. ...

Looking at their website, that strikes me ss exactly the type of commercial knife sharpening equipment I would be scared of with any of tge higher alloy steels.

Re: P3 S90V CF

They charge basically full MSRP for a lot of Sprint run allocations instead of MAP 35% discounted pricing ( I say basically, because I'm not sure the Sprint runs have MSRP, but regardless you get the point). In addition, they generally charge a hefty rate for shipping and handling - charges that ar...

Re: P3 S90V CF

Additionally, I refuse to give any business to BBS. I've seen a couple of comments about BBS. As a newbie in the knife world, what is so bad about them? Re: My first PM2

S110V and CPM M4 both will take a highly refined edge or a sharp toothy edge. The sharp toothy edge seems to last longer on the S110V (versus the polished edge). CPM M4 from what I can tell in my limited use seems to favor a refined edge. Regardless, they both hold an edge a long time. I would be le...

Haha ya always have to be super specific to convey an opinion. In your world S110V performance doesn't outweigh the costs, but you seem to be stuck in an economic model that decides my time = the economic value of your time. You are very much mistaken. David Are you repeatedly and regularly cutting difficult/abrasive materials? If so, then you are right. If no...

Re: Best Spyderco value

Military S110V. It really is a broad subject, but considering the steel (and what other companies expect you to pay for it, IF they even offer it) this probably is the most bang for your buck. There may be more inexpensive options that do perform great but this Military is a bargain for what you ge...
