Re: Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight - surprised me (PICS)

http://i65.tinypic.com/33dyrg5.jpg Are those handle edges rounded a bit, or is it just an illusion? I am taking mine apart today. Planning on rounding the bottom inside of the scales (done this on few knives - great improvement), and even try the outside a hair. There isn't much room on the outside...

Re: Saying goodbye to my Kershaws

Had a handful over the years. Still have the Skyline. Out of the ones I owned, ended up liking this one the most. I pull it out once in a while just to reminisce, keep it in a pocket for a day. It will do what I expect it to do.

Re: The Delica Always Creeping In

I haven't been much of a Delica user. I had the FRN and Pakkawood, but they just weren't doing it for me. Ergonomics were good, but I just didn't enjoy them. This one is definitely making me reconsider the model. The feel of the G10, overall slimmer, the action, and the color. Definitely back in rot...

Re: Why no sharpening choil?

On my more used knives, I take the edge all the way to the ricasso. My observation has been this. With the tri-angle stones, because the corners are somewhat round, the last 1/16 on the blade doesn't really get touched. However, if you are not careful, a stone with a sharp edge will ride up that lit...

Awesome pics. Mine should be in on Thursday.

Is the backspacer plastic? If I recall, when I had the Pakkawood, it was metal.

Re: Delica HAP40/SUS410 TiCN with red G10 Exclusive

Got mine! I have to say...it's better than expected. The G10 looks and feels great! http://i.imgur.com/FOIzdG4.jpg I like all my Delicas but this is likely the nicest version yet. On a side note...I was prepared to receive a hard time from my SO for getting another knife. When I opened the package ...

Re: Delica HAP40/SUS410 TiCN with red G10 Exclusive

That discount did me in. Since I technically don't have a Delica - mrs uses it 99% of the time - I had no choice. Throw red G10 into the mix, and I didn't have a chance. Saving $20 while spending $170. That's technically $150... if my math is right...... if that helps me justify it... Fre...

I've got one sitting in my cart. If they send a coupon I will likely get one. A bit more palatable at that price.
Hahaha! Din't work for me. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Re: Delica HAP40/SUS410 DLC with red G10 Exclusive

TiCN? Had and have some DLC blades. Solid coating in my experience. Never had a TiCN. OP, may want to change the title... Did a quick look at the Interwebs, comparing the two coatings. Should hold up similarly; DLC seems to have some advantages when exposed to heat and acid (neither of which should ...

I hear that! Pretty steep for an impulse buy, but wow, I really dig it.
The weight is listed at 2.5 oz., it's go to be heavier than that tho, i would think.
Different G10 Delica was listed over 3oz. Pakkawood is 3oz.

The more I look at it, the better it looks

EDIT TO UPDATE: I ordered a Native 5 Lightweight in Dark Blue FRN with S110V, and a Chaparral Gray FRN (yes, I really like FRN). :D Thanks for voting! Haha! Didn't even take a full page of suggestions. Haha! Somebody's got it good... :D That Native is nice. https://i.imgur.com/p8qa1jw.jpg
