Re: Astute Poll

I was amazed when I first got the Astute. A steel upgrade might put it in the running for my favorite knife of all time. I think it would be a great knife to have in a slip joint, but sadly, I don't think that would work without losing some edge length and ruining the knife's design.

Re: last two Spyderco knives you cut yourself with

I've never actually cut myself with a Spyderco. I came close once and closed a Pac Salt on my fingernail. The teeth left a couple good marks on my nail but it wasn't what I'd consider a cut.

Just got mine yesterday from Sooner State Knives. Everything went smooth and I have no complaints.

Re: How many knives do you normally carry on you?

At least one. Oftentimes two. The second one is usually for loaning to people or using for something bordering on abuse. So it's generally a Spyderco clipped to my right front pocket and an ESEE or something like that on my belt.

That's great. I'm assuming I ordered shortly after you so hopefully I'm getting mine too. I might have to give them a call to check. I'm already feeling better about giving them another try though.

Re: Spyderco knives that you have gifted - any extra info welcome. To whom, why, and how did it hold up?

I've gifted a few. Usually as Christmas or birthday presents. A couple Delicas, an Endura a Squeak, a Kiwi, a Pingo, a UKPK and a Matriarch are the first ones that come to mind. Most people use them for a month or so. Then they end up lost or laying in drawer somewhere. But when someone appreciates ...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Sooner State Knives still has both SE and PE as of writing this. Just scored one. No longer annoyed :) Thanks for the heads up. I got one too... Hopefully. I've had less than stellar luck with Sooner State Knives before. I ordered a Case from them last fall and got a refund three days later with no...

I was busy when I got the text from BladeHQ. I saw it about five minutes later. Needless to say, I didn't get one either.

Re: LWD Tactical Armorer's Tool Endura

I don't even notice the Glock tool on mine when it's folded in. I use it just like my other Enduras and forget that pin punch is even there until I need it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I were in the market for another Endura. If one does not need the tool for Glock-maintenance: Do you think i...

Wow, that fluted titanium looks amazing. Way to take a great but somewhat plain knife and turn it into something classy. I bet you don't forget it's in your pocket with the weight of that titanium.

Don't get rid of your knives. Keep them, enjoy them, and if you like collecting, continue to collect.
Exactly. You're making more money than before so you don't NEED to sell them. Might as well keep them and enjoy them when you can.

Re: A knife designed by steelcity16 and Evil D

I love balisongs. I actually like the serrations on there. It's not something you usually see. However, I'm not a fan of reverse-s blades. This one seems to have a little more material at the tip than most though. Overall, I like it and I'd buy one. The design needs some fine tuning, but it shows so...

Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?

I'll go with the Tropen. Mine is buttery smooth so even though the detent is a little weak, it just glides open. It's actually so satisfying to open with the flipper that I don't ever use the wave.

Re: Knifecenter Delica in Black Pakkawood and VG10 Damascus

People thought the St Nick's Delica was expensive too. I don't remember the price, but I did get one when they practically gave them away. That one was G10. I'd imagine pakkawood scales would use the same liners as G10. So I'd imagine that's where part of the price increase comes from, but I'm no ex...

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening to us

I really don't care where my clip is so I don't really have an opinion on this, and I hate to be that guy... But you've been saying brass. I think that model came with copper scales. I just about had a heart attack when I thought Spyderco made a brass exclusive and I missed it. I suppose it doesn't ...

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.

I'll take a Manix with a laser. While we're at it, I want it with multiple locks too. No longer would we have to decide between a backlock and a cbbl. Might need to find a friend to help close it but I'll figure that out later.

Beautiful knife. I'm glad you were able to get it. What do other people in Norway think of it? Does it stand out among the domestically produced knives? I think even "plain" Norwegian knives are quite nice looking.
