Truth be told I just want to see the sheath...
It's like Bigfoot. The first sighting will be a blurry video of the sheath running through the woods.

Re: Ganzo knives...Spyderco/BM clone

If you can find someone who never heard of Spyderco or Ganzo, please present them with both knives. That way the person has zero bias. Ask them to handle them and then ask them to guess the prices. It's a fun little game. I don't think you should go into this trying to compare them. Take it for what...

Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

Is anyone mad at BHQ for making a profit? Or are we only mad at individual sellers trying to do the same? You can't honestly be equating a business like BHQ to a greedy scalper. The only reason this sprint exists is BHQ forked over the cash to buy a special sprint run. All the scalpers are doing is...

Re: The Delica will never die.

the kick area is wasted edge space anyway, so it may as well be shaped into a choil so it's usable space. The issue people have with that idea is that Spyderco probably will shift the entire grip backwards to make room for a large choil instead of only rounding the area currently available. For exa...

Re: Paramilitary 2, a delicate knife?

I want my pocket knives to be fairly multi-tasking and with such a tip the PM2 isn't. I tend to agree with this. Everyone loves to say "use the right tool for the right job", but then I would always carry a multi-tool or a toolbox 24/7 instead of just a knife. Truth is, I don't. So someti...

Re: Help me decide which spydie to buy next

If the sheer length of a handle COULD offer a full four finger grip JUST on the handle itself (so without using a choil), but does not, cause a choil places the guard to far backwards and leaves only room for three fingers behind it, you don´t like it? I think this is where we see a gap in the Spyd...

Re: Where is my Bow River ?

Lol, wow...this April will mark 2 years or more? Since the Bow River was in the making. You're right. The "Spyderco/Phil Wilson Bow River" thread began on April 1, 2017 when it was revealed that the collaboration was happening but a steel wasn't selected yet. April 1st.... maybe it was an...

Re: Mule Team

Personally, I think it would be great to have a Mule in a cheap(ish) steel in constant supply, like the Mule Team 05 in 9Cr18Mo that was $19.95. People who want to try making a handle of their own or simply wrap some paracord would have an easy and pretty cheap way to get into the world of Spyderco....

Re: More on new Spyderco Light Weights: Let's discuss!

I don't think a lightweight version of the Shaman makes sense. The whole point of the knife is to be big, heavy duty, and beefy. Making a plastic lightweight version would be so opposite of the model's intentions.

they don't show up on Ganzo's own website anymore, which is where I looked.
Well, that's interesting. Gearbest is also showing some as discontinued, although some other "Spyderco tributes" still show up as having hundreds in stock. Maybe they've stopped.

Re: How do we define sharpness?

Is it in what materials it can smoothly and consistently cut through, without damaging the material in some other form, or, is sharpness very subjective? Sharpness is only how acute your apex is at a given point in time. When you talk about "consistently cut through", you change the topic...

It apparently showed in stock and he ordered it a few weeks ago but still hasn't received any notification of it shipping. I think it took around 35 days before I received mine. If your friend took the "free shipping" then it will come via unregistered air mail, so he won't get updates.

Re: Ganzo knives...Spyderco/BM clone

They seem to have stopped making all the Spyderco looking models although you can still find them on eBay. As for quality, it probably wouldn't match PM2 quality, but neither does a Tenacious. They 100% still make them. In fact, they still make the exact model shown in this thread, along with many ...

No, I'm talking about the older ones Sal spoke of. I have all of those on that page.

I think you're misinterpreting what Sal said. I think those are the older ones he meant. That RWL34 is a few years old and still available.

Re: Light Weight LC200N Kapara?

Has there been any serious testing comparing S30V to LC200N? Is the edge retention about the same? If so, then would it be feasible to entirely replace the S30V base models with LC200N? I think people may like that change even if the whole knife isn't 100% rust-proof.

Re: lil manix 2, if dreams came true

Only problem is the handle. If you make that any smaller, you would have to use the choil to hold the knife. If youre ok with that, I can't think of any other issues. Exactly. I don't think people realize that the handle will feel completely different. It will essentially be a new model.... so why ...
