I don't believe there was any charity involved with the pink knives.

My girlfriend is a cancer survivor as well. I would definitely support any such effort. I would buy a livestrong yellow Spydie for certain. Definitely a worthy cause I would support.

Welcome. A Rescue 79mm would make short work of the materials you mentioned. A Byrd Meadowlark rescue would be a bargain priced option. A Delica would be another good option. All 3 of these are on the smaller side & shouldn't scare too many folks. As others mentioned I would avoid prying with yo...

This is really one of those personal preference things, some may prefer them tight, others loose. Better to have the clip come tight, and receive a few complaints than have them loose and have lots of complaints that knives are falling out of pockets. Just my opinion. Luckily, it's easy to adjust cl...

The carbide portion will eat up blades too. I would look at a small crock stick like the Gatco micro-X pocket: http://www.gatcosharpeners.com/product/ceramic/gatstix_micro.mgi You don't just draw the blade through the V, you use the two sticks independently, similar to the sharpmaker. It has fine an...

I don't really EDC a multitool. I find them heavy and I don't use them all that much. When I think one may come in handy, I have a Micra that I carry in a kydex holster I made for it. I also have a Squirt, but I think the Micra is sturdier. I do keep an original Leatherman tool in my car at all time...

Looks great. I can't wait for an FRN version of the Native IV. I really think the blade shape will take the Flat grind to the next level. I really hope they leave a bit of swedge on the spine as that to me is a classic trademark of the Native blade shape.

From my experience S30V needs a bit more work than VG-10, but tends to have slightly higher edge retention. You should be able to get them both equally sharp on the sharpmaker.

I agree with Cockroach. We've seen examples from forum members here and at BF that had knives taken when they were minding their own business. No one wants to deal with arrest/legal issues. We may not like the laws, but if we want to keep our knives- some of us will have to adjust our tools and habi...

Good question...... I am also curious about the approximate turn around time for resharpening ? Thanks... -Clock Depends on the work load of the W&R dept. Generally between 2-3 weeks from my experience. Not sure about cost for multiple knives. Never sent more than one, but would also like to kn...

I took a GIS class as part of my graduate coursework, but my Prof was biased toward ERDAS stuff. We did a bit with Arc though. Lots of cool stuff can be done with GIS if you have the time to play with it. I would recommend looking for a used text book on ebay. It should help you along a bit. Good lu...

Welcome aboard. Pinned knives such as the Native 3 may start off tight, but should break in nicely over time. Better to start tight and end up just right than start loose and end up wobbly I suppose. You may want to try a better quality lube. WD-40 is good for cleaning out a pivot, but really isn't ...
