One kind of looks like a rip-off of the early Harrier model. Another looks like it stole the blade off a Meadowlark Rescue. If nothing else they are using the trademarked comet hole.

I've got an AUS-8 Delica SE that is in great shape still. I just carried and used it today. Its the only SE blade that I've found I like.

Sal-
That was mean. Are you trying to kill us with anticipation?

Seriously though the more the merrier. Keep 'em coming. :)

While you're in a sharing mood, any consideration of additional angles for the sharpmaker? There was an interesting thread on the subject recently.

From wikipedia: Micarta : A composite of linen or paper fabric in a thermosetting plastic, used in electrical and decorative areas, Micarta was developed by George Westinghouse at least as early as 1910 using phenolic resins invented by Dr. Leo Baekeland. These resins were used to impregnate paper a...

I generally only use my folders for opening food packages in the kitchen. I have some Wusthof and Lagiuole knives for most kitchen chores. If I'm away from home folders may do food duty.

I do prefer to eat my apples one slice at a time. I also pack a good ole Imperial Hobo knife in my lunch bag.

Welcome. :) You are looking at out of production models that will not come cheap. I would expect to pay 100+ at least for either NIB. There are a few Wegners on the bay now. I didn't see any Cento II's listed. If you really like the Wegner and don't want to put time in to hunting down the C48, and a...

The Delica 4 is just about perfect for me as an all around EDC. It gets the job done and for the price, you just cannot beat it IMO. I very much look forward to a G-10 Delica & suspect it will quickly become my all time favorite Spydie.

Well that "in store special" seems cruel for those of us not in the SFO area. If I lived close by they'd have to chase me out several days a week. Maybe if we wait they will extend the special price to those of us who can't visit in person...

I do like the D4 a lot, but sometimes you just need a pointy tip. That's when I miss the D3. I am not sure that they would bring the D3 back to production, but maybe a sprint run would be nice. What I would really find appealing is offering different blade shapes for the D4. Kind of like the Centofa...

I use mineral oil on any knives I may consider for food use. Its completely safe for food use, cheap and is an effective lube.

I have an Edgie & the sharpener puts a very rough edge on the knife. I use it like a utility knife, but the crude edge would not be something I would be happy with on a Spyderco or any knife I carry on a regular basis.

I like my Dragonfly, but I would go for the etched version as it should provide more grip. The lack of grip is my only complaint for my SS D'fly. I added some jimping to the thumb ramp to help. Have you thought about a Byrd Robin? You can add that to the of list possibilities for about $20.

No problems for me running Mozilla Firefox. Perhaps those of you using Internet Explorer should give Firefox a try. In my opinion its waaaay better than IE anyhow. Much more user friendly and customizable.

I did have a small Kershaw lockback (I can't think of the name of it- it was about $15 @ Wal Mart) that had a bad lock on it. It was used hard for a little knife, but the lock would no longer engage, even after thorough cleaning. I sent the knife in and they surprised me by replacing it with a new C...

Another catalog question for TazKristi

I am hoping like many others here to get my 2008 catalog as soon as possible so I can begin drooling over, budgeting for and coveting the new models. So, here's my question, does Spyderco automatically mail catalogs to customers who have requested them before, or dealt with customer service or the S...
