Re: Whats the longest you've ever gone without using a particular knife?

I don’t know, years. I am probably a bad example though as I buy lots of new knives and have a truckload at this point. Many find themselves out of rotation. I have too many users. My Super Blue Delica was a regular carry that I carried almost every day for a year. I haven’t carried it in forever. ...

It probably depends on sales and feedback from customers.

Re: Help with an Endura!! SAL ??

I remember seeing those turn up on eBay years ago. They didn't wear real well from what I recall. Must have been an interesting process to color fill those though.

Try googling Spyderco Smock scales. You'll see lots of options.

Re: There's something that's a little overdue

Knives and guns go together like peanut butter and jelly over here. If you're into one, chances are you're into the other :p They may for some, but I have a co-worker who is recently getting into knives and when I showed her a recent Cutlery Shoppe post that featured a Para 2 and gun combo, she com...

Can I say that I find the bullets and gun magazine misplaced? This is a Spyderco knives' forum. No need to display weapon equipment.
It does seem like an odd choice. Perhaps if this was a LEO forum it would be more fitting.

And the Sprints trickle out in batches, so all the app will tell you is that they are shipping to dealers at the initial release.

Re: Any interest in ~1.0 mm blade thickness?

An Opinel No 6 is 1.33 mm at it's thickest. That sized blade works well at that thickness. I've whittled many a walking stick with one. Flex is not a problem I've noticed. I'd try a Dragonfly or Chap at similar thickness. I wouldn't want a longer blade, I think flex would become very apparent the lo...

Re: Getting an unpainted pocket clip

OP asked a very precise question though and so far, none answered it. I'm sure he's aware paint can be stripped. Actually a number of people answered the question specifically and also a number of helpful people offered options. Sort of the way forums seem to work. OP asked a very precise question ...

OP asked a very precise question though and so far, none answered it. I'm sure he's aware paint can be stripped. Actually it was, and you could have answered it as well as people told you the answer just days ago. They can easily be purchased from the factory outlet. Thanks for your continued pleas...

I'm curious why you think a yellow handled knife isn't going get a fair price on the secondary market?

RIT dye takes zero skill and can be done by anyone with a few bucks, a pot and a stove.

I’d say no way. Carry a knife for what a knife is for, and explore the various sharpened pry bars already out there. For example, the Boker Cop Tool.
This, 100%. I have a mini prybar on my keychain if I need to do something stupid. I just want my knife to cut.

Re: Spyderco "Hyker"

Excellent looking mod. I will point out that from what I recall, Larrin's work found LC200N is not equal or beyond VG-10 in edge holding, rather below, something like 20% less I think. I sometimes feel like I am the only one who hasn't jumped on the LC200N wagon. Either way LC improves on Ti and H1...

Re: Spyderco "Hyker"

The Spyderco "Hyker", as I had envisioned it, and started subtlety posting about a couple of years ago or more now - on the Spyderco forum(s)... What is the "Hyker" you ask? A spyderco Delica/Salt knife, Hi-Vis handles, highly stainless steel blade, at or better than VG-10 wear resistance, and 2.0 ...

It's a distributor exclusive I believe, which isn't the same as a sprint run.

Re: In the end, who are sprint runs up to?

Relax with gatekeeping. I made it clear I didn’t expect it to ever happen. But it would definitely curtail some of the demand for exclusives and sprints. People are always chasing their “grail knife” from their favorite manufacturer. Allowing people to customize their favorite model would at least ...

Re: In the end, who are sprint runs up to?

You probably need to be in the circle of trust before asking. But they do unique collaborations like this. This was not through a typical online knife store. Danke, I wouldn't say that we have a circle of trust. If we do, it's the trust that our customers (you) give us. The Abel Reels Exclusive was...

You can't always get what you want. But did you know you can easily get a non-painted Delica clip?
