Re: POLL: Who´d like to see a knife along the lines of the Caribbean, but with a BACKLOCK?
My 2c. I had the chance to play with a caribbean and was positively surprised about fit and finish and design.
What I would change:
make the blade longer by 10mm
straight spine for aesthetic reasons
remove finger guards
titanium scales with the same pattern as G10

Re: Your "return ethics"?
Like I said in another thread. Why not add protective stickers to pivots & blade that void returns after removal? This way you can return the knife if you don't like it and it won't be "used" for the new buyer who gets a return. Watch companies, hardware companies and surely others ha...

Re: Anyone else hoping for a BBS exclusive Military in k390?
Yep, I hope BBS get's all the K390 exclusives. That way I'll be able to get them, guaranteed. Also guaranteed it won't be someone else's return. Can't say that for other dealer! Great point! I didn't even think of it that way...as I'm currently going through the process of getting new pivot screws ...

Re: Anyone else hoping for a BBS exclusive Military in k390?
I am hoping for a Military in K390. Not for a BBS exclusive. Are the Spyderco K390 rights somewhat tied to BBS? The Urban, Police and Mule weren't. I think they're the only ones doing sprints of it for now. I'd like to see some more models use the steel, particularly some fixed blades. Either Perri...

Re: Native 5 G10 ?
Does anyone know what the small hole next to the blade pivot hole is for? I have it on my cruwear n5 as well.
I have seen photos of some native 5 models without that hole.

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...
Is non-existent. I’ve had a lot of compression locks and just received my k390 para 3 with the worst lock stick I’ve ever seen. I hit them up for an exchange and it turns out they don’t do returns or exchanges at all (my bad for not reading their terms); instead, they just copy Spyderco’s warranty ...

Re: Is it time for the PM2 to come with tip up carry from the factory?
Most people on forums and YouTube change the PM2 to tip up. I'd say it's a very large majority. So why not have it come that way from the factory? Figured I'd create a poll. I'd rather have the clip not attached at all. People can then choose how or if to attach it. I always remove the clips from m...

Re: Para 3 K390 Ranger green from BBS!
I'd love to add K390 to my Para 3 steel collection, but their high international shipping costs is just killing the deal for me. $68.95 does seem steep for shipping. What are your typical shipping charges from the US? +1 that's simply ridiculous. I have sold tons of stuff over ebay to the US as a p...

Re: Police 4 Lightweight Observations
thanks for the review! Lots of information. Offtopic: It would be great if we would have a "Review" - subforum. Otherwise interesting reads like this one could get lost in the pool of information. I have a theory regarding the pivot loose up. It could be due to the D-shape of the pivot. It...

Re: Spydiechef Rusted After First Use
I'm putting my money on surface contamination from manufacturing. Take some sandpaper to the blade and clean it up, then take it out in the brine again and see what happens. After a year of neglect, my Caribbean had zero rust on the blade and a little on the liners. I have since cleaned it all off ...

Re: Anything that can replace Chaparral?
..... .... ..... The Chap is still by far the best for what you describe you´re looking for. That thin blade is unique even in Spydercos lineup (The Centofante is 2mm too, but sabre hollow grind, not ffg like the Chap), The Chap FRN has just the most perfect fit and finish of any Spyderco I ever ha...

Re: Anything that can replace Chaparral?
..... What I like about the Chaparral, is pretty much everything, except the lock. But the main attraction was the blade, especially how thin it was. That slicy blade and the gentle curved made it perfect for me. Being not overly long and not looking aggressive makes it perfect for office cafeteria...

Re: Which Spyderco for prying with tip?
It also depends what you want to pry.
I am a watch guy and do repair work on them. Removing the bezel or snap back casebacks can only be done with very thin blades since the gap is very tight. There are cheap tools for exactly that but imho the small victorinox sak blade does the job better.

I have only two and I'd guess both are very though, can't decide! 1. Native 5 CPM Cruwear: For the same reasons you mentioned. Btw. fantastic scale swap there... I hope Flytanium or someone other will offer AM titanium scales for it. 2. Pac Salt SE: H1 is very unlikely to break, minimal distal tape...
