Got the Manix JD. I havent recieved it yet, but it's on order (along with a sharp maker w/ dvd, so I can learn to keep my blades sharp! Like I said, I rarely ever notice I'm carrying a knife, no matter the weight. A knife is nothing compared to a handgun carried IWB. I always know the gun is there, ...

Well, I'm not fired yet...

Do you know something I don't know? lol... I have a few years before I retire (got 10 in, so maybe 20 left...?). I just re-read my post. I see the confusion. Read it again, my wife's the ex-cop, and she's pretty understanding. Anyway, actually HR218 allows certified LEOs to carry concealed anywhere ...

Buurrrrppp!

I think I'm full now... Just ordered a Full Sized Manix CE today. It will ship out tomorrow. I also had the shop send me a new 204 Sharpmaker, so I can keep my blades nice and sharp! All in all, I got a great deal, $149 for both shipped (with insurance). The guy I ordered from over the phone, cautio...

New D'Allara. Impressions - Review

I just got my new D'Allara DP a week ago. It's been my EDC all week. First, I'll discuss the pros: I think the knife is superbly built and as smooth an opener as I've seen. I really like the ball lock, as it operates great. I think the grip on this baby is really sweet. It's a little rough in the po...

Had a HIGH end, double edged 3" dive knife enter my foot once. I was young (13) and stupid. I was "flipping" the knife around, in awe of it's perfect balance. However, the knife's balance was much better than mine. I tossed the knife up, to flip it over and recatch it. However, I fail...

Feeding My Addiction... HELP!!!!!

Ok, I've done countless searches here and on BF, and I can't make up my mind between the full and the mini manix. One minute I'm solid for the full sized, then the next time I search the forum (and read the same review for the 10th time), I am pretty sure I'll get the mini... I need help deciding! I...

Awesome response!!! Thanks. However, you might be happy to note, most officers I know don't carry their knives on their belts. Which allows for more room to carry IWB stuff like guns and such. I typically carry in a cargo pocket or in my vest at work. At home, I usually use a cargo pocket as well. L...

Thanks

The :spyder: website doesn't have much info listed about the Manix versions. Is there anything you can tell me about the 80 vs the 83 versions? Blade material. Difference in handle build or lock mechanism?

Any info is appreciated. Especialy the subjective kind.

Thanks.

Purchase Advice Please - Manix

I'm into the solid, self defense or tactical style knives. No safe queens. I currently own a Renegade, Native, Wayne Goddard, D'Allara, and Blackhawk models. I find I like the solid feel of the D'Allara (functional), but admire the sleekness and beauty of the Renegade. I seem to prefer the G-10 scal...

New Member w/ new :spyder: Acquisitions...

Hi, I'm a new member to the forum. I've love my :spyder: roster, a Native CE and a Renegade CE (Seki-City). About 3 years ago, the Renegade started my affinity for the :spyder: s, and now I wouldn't consider any other knife purchase. A year ago, I got the Native for work, and carry it everyday tucke...
