Have they ever done a sprint for a colab or a knife part of a series, like the sage and chaparral? Bringing again a discontinued model is part of the interest of the sprint run initiative. For example this year they made a sprint run of the Lum tanto that was a collab and is listed has discontinued...

For a K390 sprint my vote goes first to a PPT with blue "layered" G10 (+ titanium). 2nd to a caly 3.5. 3rd to a PM2.

Mcusta uses teflon washers that are black, I don't know which type of teflon they use but even completely dry (without oil) the opening of the blade is the smoothest I encountered until now on a knife using teflon washers + pivot screw.

Sorry again, but this is my thought! And really I don't understand this choice!!! Don't be angry, it...

especially since razors and knives aren't as closely related as most people seem to think. Straight razors and knives have so few in commons that it probably explains why the vast majority of straight razors were and are made by cutlery and knives manufacturers: Böker, Puma, Thiers-Issard, Wade &am...

A niche market already filled by high end product. Yes but it is a growing niche. 4 years ago on or french straight razors forum we had at best 3 new subscriptions per week, now it's 3 per day as a minimum. You probably already know that Thiers-Issard is the only one industrial manufacturer in the ...

Great Wouter's pictures as always. Just a detail about the Chaparral 3, I would have been curious to see how it would have looked like if they have aligned borders of "squares" along different axis like drawn in red on the picture, instead of along the black lines like they did. http://i.i...

Thiers-Issard straight razor in C135 "carbonsong" steel (1.35% of carbon) are very popular around the world, especially in the USA. This steel is so nice that I thought i had bought my last straight razor in 2011 with one of the TI C135 models, some sort of an end to my quest for the perfe...

I just finished a Carbon fiber (red G-10 liners) Pingo. I add a thumbstud as it really helps to one hand this small knife. And I use a custom (handmade) pivot/bushing so I can use the nice pivot screws. http://www.durotechs.com/bf7/cfpingo/12.jpg Great looking mod. The pivot screw is nice and I lik...
