I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! I hope to expand on this in the very near future.

I'm brand new to Spyderco, but an old salt to life and knives. I'm very impressed by the folks here, and wish I had found Spyderco and this Forum sooner!

I've several Opinels that I've patina'd, but I never thought about doing a Spyderco up. I used a fresh walnut to do one of my Opinels, and the results were similar. These knives look great!

My son is a Coast Guard sailor that uses his Atlantic Salt a bunch. I know he'd be all over a sailor's knife.
