Re: Upland game/Small game knife
As I prepare for squirrel season, this question has been on my mind too. When cleaning squirrel, I prefer a stainless steel blade that is roughly 3" long and very slender. For big game, I usually use a fixed blade; however, for small game, either fixed or folding is fine. I can make other knive...

Re: Your Thoughts of an Ideal Companion Blade?
When I carry a companion knife, my intent is for it to compliment my primary knife. Therefore, if my primary knife is full size and has a plain edge, then my companion knife might be small and have a serrated edge. However, if my primary knife is small, then my companion knife might be large with ei...

Re: Interest for Cruwear Micarta Manix Backlock?
Yes, I would be interested. In my opinion, the Manix backlock is a tough knife, and the Cruwear/Micarta combination compliments that theme perfectly.

Awesome cover picture! As much as I love nature, it's good to see a picture with a different theme. It adds variety.

Absolutely. I'm not a huge fan of BD1 or S110V; however, LC200N would be perfect for me.

Thanks for the observations. I enjoyed reading your thoughts on this knife. Like you, I would love to see a full SE version. I also hope it gets the green/ZDP-189 treatment.

OP, I agree with you. I really like S30V. It's a great all-around steel. I think some of the people who avoid it are bored and want something else.

Re: Why no black TiCN PE Endura Family??
I'd like to see more coated blades too. I believe the only Enduras and Delicas that come with coated blades have combo edges. My guess is that they are marketed for the military. It has been my observation that a lot of military personnel like combo edges. In fact, stores on nearly every base I've e...

That's a gorgeous bowie, Sal. I enjoyed the history lesson in the recent Spyderco Byte. I didn't realize that you received lessons from Moran, Hastings, and Bagwell. That's legit.
