I"m not so sure about the extra grip on the black one @Wallach. Looking at stock photos, the yellow version has the same peel ply texture on the flats, so I'd say it is likely they'll feel the same in the hand.

I suggest you resharpen it a few times to completely remove steel behind the factory edge. See Outpost76’s channel on Youtube. I oiled a Cruwear micarta PM2 using mineral oil a few times. Every time it would return to its original light colour after a few weeks.
