I am a bit baffled that the SE Military was discontinued.

I would argue that this is a serrated blade done correctly: Large FFG blade, with 80% SE and a 20% PE tip.

A LC200N SE Military, with FRN or G10 or textured Ti, would certainly get my attention.

But I'm not picky, a LC200N SE Manix LW will also be ok. :p

If you do not like the clads, but want something similar to HAP40, you can look at the M4 GB1 or GB2, M4 PM2 etc... It's a good way to rationalize spending more: "But Honey, the $70 HAP40's scratch so easily, I will have to get the $240 M4 PM2... Yes I know thats too much, but then I'll have to...

Are all the screws tightened properly? I once had lock rock on a Military, but then discovered the pivot screw was a little bit loose. It disappeared when I tightened everything up.

I agree Ted. All my paras have free swinging blades for easy one hand open and close. The tiny bit of side to side play is so minor it's really a non-issue IMO.
