Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.

Mine came in today. Excellent example as well! Centered, smooth, and great lock up. Thank you BHQ and thank you Spyderco. Going in the pocket and put to work tomorrow!

Re: Any new Caly models?

Hi Sal. Is it only the Caly 3 in the works or would there be a 3.5 as well?

HAP40 Persian.
Or any Persian
Preferably with bolsters.
But ok without.

Or... Hap40 burnt orange g10 Persian with a comp lock. Yeah. That will do.

Re: Disco'd models on your to find list

I just picked up a VG-10 Caly 3.5 for a great deal on BF. Still searching for "reasonably" priced original large Persian and CF stretch.

Searching for disco'd knives

No. Not sparkling polyester scales. Discontinued knives that are becoming harder to find. I know that most of us have a few grails and must haves that we search for, but when you have more than one you are searching for, how do you decide which to focus on? Current finances prevent me from always be...

Re: Caly in HAP40?

Would LOVE a Hap40 Caly 3.5!! Endura has been a workhorse. I'm kicking myself for not getting a vg-10 Caly 3.5 when they were available at less than $100. I use my SB Caly 3.5 regularly but I'm a little afraid to use it for work because of its high replacement cost. I'd have to get 2 hap40s for futu...

Re: Please no more paperclip pocket clips

Agree with Evil D. Could not imagine my Caly 3.5 without the wire clip. Love it. And I like the hourglass on the endura and para 2. I've had more bent hourglass clips but they may also be due to the kind of environments those knives are in.

Re: EDC Battle: Delica vs. Endura vs. Stretch

I had to vote endura. It's the only knife I have variations of and I carry one most days. I have a 90s clip it delica and carry it occasionally but typically prefer more blade. Always loved the design of the stretch but have never had the chance to actually handle one. I will be looking to get the h...

Re: Where are the HAP40 reviews?

Sorry no real 'review' but I have started putting mine to work. IMG_4222.jpg My knife came super sharp from the factory and I have not had a need to sharpen yet. Fit and finish on my knife is pretty good. The only small issues with mine are a slightly off center when closed (this is the first spyder...

Re: Caly XL

Thanks for the pics demoncase. Certainly is a good looking knife. Your photos also highlight one of my other pet peeves with certain models. It seems that on more than a few models, the tip down clip option leaves less handle sticking out of pocket. I realize that this is usually to accommodate the ...

Re: Caly XL

Well I guess I need to find a C54 in one form or another. The original micarta versions are great looking knives but I can't get past the clip. And tip down! So who wants to send me a brown calypso user?!

Re: Caly XL

I was really interested in the calypso sprint and should have picked one up when they were right around $100. I never had a chance to handle one though. Are the ergonomics of the handle as good as the Caly 3.5? They look similar but the calypso looks less curved. Honestly what kept me from the calyp...

Caly XL

Would anyone else like to see a larger Caly? ~4" blade, slightly larger handle and a thicker blade stock. Either lock back or better yet, a compression lock? I love my Caly 3.5 but it feels more at home with lighter duty and I don't use it at work much. So, with the discontinuation of the g10 C...

Re: The Endura 4 handle confuses me

I personally love the E4 handle and have fairly large sized hands. I've never handled any salt knives so can't compare to them but I find the Endura handle comfortable and secure and I use one often for hard work.
