Re: What would you purchase?

First thing I’d do is keep an eye on the BF Exchange.
Your $100 would go much farther that way.
Depending on your needs plays a big part in choosing a specific model.
Personally I’d look for a PM2 or a Manix. Both amazing Spydies.

Re: Carbon fiber addiction

Couldn’t agree more!! Love CF!
I just unboxed this bad boy! I fell in love with the orange G10 version......but CF was available and I couldn’t resist! It has a very different texture, feels great!

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Just arrived yesterday and color me extremely impressed!!
F&F are literally perfect! Free dropping action OOTB and locks up withno movement at all!
Perfectly centered and Knives Plus put an outstanding edge on it!
I see LOTS of carry for this beauty!

Re: Para 3 vs Paramilitary 2

I just ordered my first Para 3 from Knives Plus. They do a few mods to some Spydies. I chose a black blade with red dyed camo scales. Really looking forward to it, but it will have some serious competition!! I LOVE my 5 Para 2s and 7 Manix 2s.......they both are almost perfect for me. Can’t wait to ...

Re: The One Last Chance Challenge!

Great topic!! Along with dog pics??? Cannot get better!! The knife for me??? Definitely the Native. The only reason I even have one is I found a Franken Native for real cheap and couldn’t resist. It has been an excellent performer, but a terrible fidgeter! Carry it as a work knife, HVAC, and it has ...

Re: No love for CBBL?

I love the Manix 2 and the BBL. it doesn’t act like an Axis Lock because it isn’t an Axis Lock. Also, if you call Benchmade, they will tell you to use 2 fingers to disengage. If one finger is used, over time you will break the O spring on that side. Ask me how I know!!! The thing with the BBL is it ...

Re: Spyderco Police SS clone

The Back Lock on mine lines up flush with no spaces anywhere.
Also, the grind looks off towards the front of the blade.
Hard to tell if it’s a fake from your pics though.

That’s 2 Spydie families brother!! Doesn’t it feel so much better buying a knife for one of our kids than ourselves??? I cannot wait to see the look on their faces when they realize they’re getting a new knife!! Priceless!! Love how your girl KNOWS what she likes!! Joe Great point about gifting Spyd...

Re: The Knife Buying Process

Great point about gifting Spydies Eli! I have 3 sons, 19, 25 & 28.......all 3 have been given many Spydies!! They also seem to ‘borrow’ some! I use the word borrow very loosely!!
This hobby is even more fun when our children get involved! Lot more expensive, but worth every penny!

Re: Spyderco flippers

This has been a sore spot with me for quite some time now. I have an Advocate, a Domino and a Southard. All 3 came out of the box as close to perfect as can be. All 3 have been carried and used extensively. They all flip perfectly and have become my favorite Spydies. How these ‘experts’ can cause su...

Re: The Knife Buying Process

Well, perhaps the title should be the knife selecting process. Like so many out there, I don't have a brick and mortar store to fondle much of a variety of knives, especially Spydercos. So I read and watch videos and look at pictures and do my level best to dissect, discern and decide on what I thi...

I'm guessing these will both have skeletonized liners and both are a hair over 4 ounces. Just a guess.
