When it came out, I was one of those noise makers...it looks like an absolutely fantastic design, but I already have too many knives I don't use and I'm not going to buy an 8Cr blade in any design. I ...

One of my favorite Spyderco designs, and not nearly as delicate as one might assume. Underrated for sure...

PacSalt 2 SE is one I've been considering since it dropped. I probably need it in my life don't I?

It gets my vote...

Re: Subjective Question

Ergos & steel are what Spyderco does best, so the options are many, but the first few that come to mind are Caly 3, Native series & GB1.

Honorable mentions for Manix & Domino...

As noted above, the Seki is a slightly lighter shade and a little duller (less sheen).

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

I've definitely sold more Spydies than I've bought over the last year and am just looking to be surprised at this point. I would always love to see more exciting collabs in the works!

Re: SPK Lamia colab

Very nice knife Vaugith! I should sell off some unused knives just to pick up a custom Lamia from Alex. I have enjoyed following his journey and really respect how he runs his business. I've got a Shark and had him regrind a Mantra 2, but the Lamia is an excellently refined design...I think I may ha...

Welcome to the forum, John!

Just to muddy the waters...my readily available suggestions would be.

Delica 4 Wharncliffe
Salt 2 Wharncliffe
Native 5 Salt
Chaparral

Steel and plain edge vs serrated edge comes down to your comfort and equipment when it comes to sharpening.

Glad to have you aboard!

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

I just decided that the Perrin Street Bowie will be my next Spydie...it never appealed to me before, but after getting an itch for a lightweight tactical oriented fixed blade, it really hits the mark; being from my favorite knife company is a bonus. The Bastinelli Silence Slim was the runner up in m...
