NKP are seriously clueless and irritating, aren't they - and isn't it hard being pleasant with them after their naive responses? I am, but it's hard.

Hello, Spyharpy. Try pulling it out quite fast. It'll open up all the way quite quickly. Just watch where your hand is placed. I can't believe how fast it opens. I learned it from this forum :)

Wow, you guys all have excellent comments - this forum is very educational. I like full flats the best - nice, clean easy slicing. I like hollow, but I put fairly thin edges on most of my knives and, for example, on my native it's quite thin. The top of the grind comes fairly close to the stone when...

Hello, dyyys1! I don't think you need to sharpen on a stone just yet if it's still kinda sharp. If you have one, just use a sharpening steel. Strop the blade backwards with as much pressure as it takes 'til you feel the sharpness you want. All it needs is for the edge to be bent back from the rollin...

Real nice Salt 1 pix Brian. Maybe I should get a serrated edge one for work.
Right now I use a Rescue 79mm - great for boxes and such.

Oh, now maybe I need one, too! Thanks a lot! Seriously, it sounds like an awesome knife. Are you really going to edge your lawn with it? I use a big, cheap, ugly fixed blade for that. It gets RIGHT scratched up, dinged up, and dulled FAST. You're bound to hit some rocks or something. Just my experie...
